With any of the other hand-held lights, I was constantly pointing the hot spot. Between the KR1vn and the D4Sv2 with W2s, I liked the KR1vn a little bit better just because it weighs so much less. I think that I’ll bring this light with me all the time just to have something that throws when I need it. Maybe, though, if I get a KR1 with the W1, I would carry that instead.

In your pictures you can see the KR1 W1 definitely punches further. My MC13 90.2 and KR1vn are about equal visually, and Manker claims 600m, and it's been measured at that, so I don't think the KR1vn is throwing much more than ~600-620m max. Still ridiculously impressive, but not quite W2 or W1 level. I don't mean to bash skylumen, but I don't think we should take his throw claims without question or without qualifying them, because many are way, way off.
