I have both the MSR pocket rocket and the BRS 3000. The pocket rocket is a very nice stove and my choice for everything but UL thru hikes. First those piezo lighters are not reliable, I know many stoves they have failed on. Given that you need to carry a lighter anyway, and the BRS 3000 is so cheap I would go with it to save a little more.

Fwiw I use a msr pocket rocket and a 1.4ltr titanium tea kettle. Rarely need to boil more than one full pot for a two person meal. Only time I need more is in the morning if both of us want 2+ cups of coffee and hot breakfast
