MSR Pocket Rocket vs Soto Windmaster

I like the Soto Windmaster for a stove as it’s really lightweight and does better in the wind than the Pocket Rocket.

I just picked up mine today, I love it great size, great flame control, and great pot support. Great buy you will not be disappointed.

After buying both and comparing side by side, I chose the Pocket Rocket 2 because of its superior build quality and ability to hold larger cook pots with ease. The Lixada seemed so small and flimsy compared to the PR2 that I immediately felt I wouldn't want to cook on something that small. Fits into my cook kit without its plastic storage case (Toaks 1100 pot and lid with a Toaks 550 cup which nests with enough room for a GSI outdoor drip coffee maker between the pots and a 100 gram fuel canister in the cup) The old pocket rocket could not fit into that pot and cup combo

I would skip the JetBoil and get a Soto Windmaster or a Fire Maple Blade 2. Jetboils are heavy and not that much better than a lightweight stove and a titanium pot. The minimo in particular doesn't even have any real advantages for wind resistance and still weighs significantly more than many other stoves and pots.
