YouTubers are crazy. This speaker is garbage. The Neumi BS5 is much better.
I review speakers for my YouTube channel (Erin's Audio Corner). For the past some-odd years the Micca MB42X has been the king of budget speakers in the audio community. I recently tested the Neumi BS5 and was very impressed with it. At the same price, I thought it made sense to test the Micca MB42X ...

Micca MB42 review: Compact, stylish speakers on the cheap
With the volume pushed up, the MB42s sounded strained in the larger CNET listening room. If you're looking for speakers to rock out in medium and larger rooms, you can't get by with the petite MB42s.Conclusion: Stylish, affordable, but not the best-sounding It's not a total shock that the MB42s don't sound as good as the larger Monoprice and Dayton Audio speakers

Kind of big, kind of ugly. Micca MB42x - $89 (sometimes $69 renewed at Amazon) - the small cheap speaker winner.
No kid is poking a hole in that tweeter. Comes with speaker grills, cloth over a honeycomb plastic mesh. Not sure what it will do for the sound, but your kid isn't going to stick their fist into the woofer.
I was literally hearing things in songs I had not heard before!
Can't believe how good these are for less than $90 a pair! I have to admit, I'm not an audio file with graphs and charts of the frequency response listing dB and Hz and quite frankly I have no idea what that means. I could educate myself on these things for sure but why? I'm just a guy who loves mus...

Micca PB42X Powered Bookshelf Speaker Review - Sound Manual
After slightly raising them off the surface of my desk and hooking them up to my external DAC, I listened to a mixture of tracks from Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven to Michael Jackson’s Man In The Mirror to George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Overall the sound quality was very respectable, especially given the price of the speaker.

Looks nice, but that's about it.
I wanted some decent small-ish computer speakers for near-field listening, powered by a 2x15w rms amp, with a Dayton Audio 6.5" 65w powered sub. I'm not fussy, and didn't have really high expectations from small bookshelf speakers, but I am rather disappointed, especially for the price. First the go...

Micca MB42X Review - Are These Speakers Any Good?
The size of the MB42X-C alone shows that it has a bigger sound and much better bass compared to the other two. Looking at the difference in the size of the MB42X-C when compared with the other two, you would think that comparison is unfair. I hope you loved this Micca MB42X review

Compared to Polk speakers in the same price range, vastly superior
For review background I am a musician and audio enthusiast with a small collection of high quality headphones and other audio equipment. I've had my MB42X speakers for 5 years, only a single pair. I moved recently and wanted to compliment them with another pair to turn them into a 5.1 solution, but ...
