Bought this in August of 2013 and it lasted until January, 2022. Pieces just suddenly broke off and it was no good. See pictures. It was a good run, I suppose but it did rust and had to be oiled during the 8 1/2 year life.

It still feels a little flimsy, but I've killed so many Kitchen Aid can openers, I'm desperate to find one that can hold up to my meat hands with kung fu grip. So far I like it, it doesn't lose it's grip on tuna cans either, which I've always had a problem with.

While the opener handles very well, the edges of the parts are nor buffed down. I was surprised as this is a "hand made" item. The edges are sharp.
