Kitchen Mama Electric Can Opener vs Made in USA Can Opener

So for the first few months it worked perfect. I bought it last year for a Christmas present to myself. It’s October first now, and the only way it works is by going over the can twice and by then the edges are really sharp. Oddly enough the cashier that let me refund this since she remembers me says I should try Kitchen Mama. As she bought one for her mom and it is a god-send. Works on every size can there is. And so glad she did

She used it once, and said that it opened smoothly, so that was at least a relief. But then it gets worse. After that one use, she rinsed, patted it down with a dishcloth, and set it to air dry on a rack (i let her know that it should not be soaked or left wet for too long) and two days later when i was about to use it, i realize it had two big rust spots where one side of the opener meets the other. She had only used it that one time, and took proper care of it, i was dumbfounded

my wife has pain in her arms often and she barely in her 20s. The dollar store can opener kept breaking. I searched for cheap versions of this électif opener but nothing compared to this product. It's going to last you a lifetime

I wonder why other companies bother making flimsy versions, this one cleans their clock.

This won’t get you through tough times. Must use like 4 batteries to operate. If prices of thing keep going up, this wouldn’t get you through-I’d keep an old fashioned manual can opener around just in case this fancy one breaks or dies. Just a thought in this economic situation:)
