Lodge Dutch Oven

I first tried a regular Lodge several years ago and it didn’t work for me. Then I got a Bruntmor Dutch oven.

make good lamb casserole with this cast iron. good size, heavy duty. no more worry scratching it like those non-stick pans or those colored cast iron.

Also have a Lodge dutch oven for many years now and love it. No chipping of enamel coating, and works just fine. I use it several times a week and everything! And considering I paid almost ten times less than a Le Creuset for it, I think it's a no brainer.

I’ve used a Lodge enameled Dutch oven while visiting my sister in-law. The Lodge Dutch oven doesn’t come close to the quality of Le Creuset—SO unrefined: too thick walls, enamel easily chips and cracks, more difficult to hold use overall compared to Le Creuset.

I have a Lodge cast iron dutch oven that i occasionally use to bake no-knead bread, among other things. I've been experimenting with finding ways to add more steam, so today I tried adding roughly a half cup of boiling water to the preheated pot (450°) with my instant pot's steamer insert there to keep the dough above the water, with the dough on parchment lowered in. After covering and baking, the results were BEAUTIFUL. Definitely one of the better crusts I've achieved.

It's all pretty much the same damn thing. I was given a Christmas gift from Tractor Supply that has some knockoff brand cast iron - 10" high-sided do-anything pan, a 10" short-sided frying pan, and a very large and heavy Dutch Oven with feet and steel carrying handle (for suspending it over a fire also) and a very durable, heavy lid. I'm sure they're from China. Couldn't care less.
