The upside of this is- wired is generally better for the usual reasons, and these nodes are more likely to support the fast roaming protocols which help clients hand off between access points smoothly. You mention Linksys Velop products- I have only passing familiarity with their Velop nodes, but found that they were terrible for both initial setup, for reliability, and for features. I've run them both as wired mesh, and as wireless mesh. Pretty much the single worst networking purchase I have made in the past two decades of playing with gear.
