I just installed a new LG OLED77C1PUB going from an OLED65E6P. Figured all I had to do was unplug everything from the old set and put it in the new set and voila, I'd be off to the races. Not the case, the Apple TV 4K just doesn't work.

Picture quality is more important than gaming, as I watch considerably more movies. I was looking at the Sony A80J, but I also see the LG OLED77C1PUB. The price difference on Best Buy is only $200, and I want the company o buy it from to mount and if necessary to calibrate. I run everything through my Denom receiver, but I want the TV to be future proof of possible.

Great gaming display, Horrible general tv experience.[Updated 6-19-22]

I bought this tv since it gets very high praise for gaming use. I am replacing a samsung 4k tv that was about 2.5 years old(it had a total failure). I am playing a ps5 on this LG and for gaming, it is really impressive and lives up to the hype 100%.

As of typing this all the software is updated.

I'm frustrated by the constant interference of unwanted attempts to take me away from regular television viewing.
