Unbalanced. Anemic 50 watt sound bar.

Update. Placed sub in different location to balance the bass better.. much more tolerable. Product literature states to keep sub 4ft away from wall. Mine was original was in a corner which increased the bass. Still wished the bar was 100 watts. I agree it has ultimate bass powerful 300 watt 10” sub....

Studios need to get over it. Home viewing is superior to “going to the movies”

Having ADHD sitting at the cinema is torture, so I built my own little 4x4m room, decent 65” 4K HDR TV, still running $1000 JBL Balboa 5.1 and an Onkyo 608. I have a little bit of sensory processing issues and loud noises and bright lights really get at me, so maybe it’s not the same for others, but I prefer my sound system to any SUPER LOUD cinema I’ve been to.

Pretty good little soundbar for the money, but for Bluray movie watchers you need to step up the ladder and insist on eARC capability with 4K HDR passthrough. For my budget I've identified the three bars (Sony HT-G700, Sonos Beam, or JBL 5.1 Surround) that get a fairly even mix of great or terrible reviews. I can get the Sony for AUD$480, the JBL for $497 and the Sonos for $545. My lounge room is a big cube with a tall sloping ceiling from 3 metres to 4.5 metres left to right.
