 Okay, let's get the good stuff out of the way because it'll be short. The one undeniable quality feature this monitor has is its two-way talk feature.  And that big change is the plug input on the monitor. It went from micro USB to this plug. The one change, five years. Here's the deal

It also has a two-way communication feature, which is maybe one of its only redeeming qualities. Telling you, this is going to be a rough review

battery life is horrible

 So I decided to pick one up, compare it to the previous model, and see if this is the best baby monitor on the market. First, I just want to show you what you get in the box with the DXR8 Pro. Opening this up, you have the five inch monitor on top here. Again, 720p looks very similar to the previous model, just a little bit bigger

 Specifically, the things I'm loving, like I said earlier, it runs on its own 2.4 GHz channel, the improved screen size, and the improved resolution. I think 5-inch screen size is perfect to see things clearly, and a lot of people think 720p isn't even full HD. How is that good? In my opinion, 720p on a 5-inch screen is still a great resolution to see everything clearly that you need to see, and it still provides amazing battery life

 The other things I'm loving, I love the sound LED bar on the left side. When you have the display on sleep and the volume low, this is really nice to be able to kind of keep track of the sound levels in your child's room. I love the quick axis buttons on top for brightness and volume. I think the overall form factor of the monitor is nice and slim

 I can go in the farthest parts of my backyard and still get almost full coverage, and that is through a couple interior walls and an exterior wall. So again, I rarely even have to pull up the antenna because this has such great range. The other things I'm loving, I love the sound LED bar on the left side. When you have the display on sleep and the volume low, this is really nice to be able to kind of keep track of the sound levels in your child's room

Baby Monitor Recommendations Needed

Battery life & cord is awful

 When the active noise reduction feature is enabled, it will minimize that background noise and only pick up the noise being emitted from your baby. So when your baby isn't crying, you don't constantly hear an annoying hum coming from the parent unit, and it works really well. Here's some audio samples of Calvin's room with the active noise reduction turned off. And now with the active noise reduction turned on

 Listen, I don't hate it, especially in the way I hate the original. It's okay. It's the Iceberg Lettuce of non-connected monitors. But the original Infant Optics? Still a big no

 The biggest reason being the number of smart and useful features that the Eufy provides is far more valuable than what the original Infant Optics provided. And even more so than this new and improved version. Now in a plot twist worthy of being written into the new dynasty series, I feel firm and now saying that I wouldn't not recommend the new Infant Optics DXR8 Pro. It's kind of like the way I would recommend Iceberg Lettuce
