Anyway, I'm just a 25+ year hobbyist, but I've owned, over the years, multiple USA made Stratocasters, Telecasters, a Guild, a Les Paul, as well as a nice Ibanez RG and S series, etc. However, the Charvel is like the best features of each of those rolled into one guitar. It has the fast, smooth, thin neck of the Ibanez, the iconic headstock and body of the Telecaster (but with actual comfort contouring), the Gibson humbucking tone, as well as some great sounding strat/tele single coil tones (with coil-splitting). All for under a grand.

The shipping was fast but upon opening box I noticed the guitar did not have the pickups that were in the picture and the guitar is damaged. Where they had screwed the neck on the paint was scraped off and where the backplate is put on paint was scraped off there too. The jack plate screws are crook...

I have an Ibanez RG and a Charvel promod, before buying the charvel I never thought weight was important to me, but I much prefer light guitar ( the ibanez) which is incredibly light. Just a matter of preference
