 And it's definitely useful to have baby monitors when you're sleep training as well. I sleep trained my baby when he was around i think three or four months, so I'll share more of that experience in another video sometime down the line. But yeah, basically it's just the whole sleep training process that I went through and maybe some useful tips that you could apply if you are going through or planning to do some sleep training as well. So there are some bonus features that the Ibaby M7 comes with as well

 So you have this moonlight projector feature that kind of just projects some stars and pretty lights and things onto the ceiling. So the moonlight projector only works when it's placed in a certain way. So this thing is where the moonlight projector thing beams from, so you need to. You need to place this in an unobstructed way, and it has to be because it just shines right above, doesn't like shoot in any other direction

 Um, although we had to put it back together a couple of times like you know, Humpty Dumpty putting back the pieces, this thing actually detached and then it kind of like broke apart into two like an egg, but it's very easy to fix back like the circuitry inside still works. So we just kind of like just, um, just put it back together and then it's fine. So yeah, super impressed with the durability on this. The plus point, as for usage, my son is turning too soon and I still use this on a daily basis just to make sure that he's sleeping

 So price wise, I think this is more expensive than the average. Like basic baby monitor, you know, the kind that just like has a camera and then it's connected to your phone. But I guess what you get is a high quality product from a reputable brand and it definitely holds up very well. I mean, it's still working fine after two years

Before You Buy: iBaby M7 Honest Review

The WiFi on this monitor seems very week. My entire house has excellent WiFi coverage but the camera usually shows 2 or 3 bars out of 4 in most locations including about 10ft away from one of my access points. The camera itself has a pretty good picture when room is lit. Night vision picture quality is ok

Decent Camera with useless sensors

 First off, this camera is awesome! The picture is clear, sound quality is great, and I love the two way feature so I can talk to my daughter if she is in her room playing.  Now, why I don’t recommend this monitor, is that for the last year or so, we have had numerous attacks on our baby monitor. We would find that the monitor would be randomly inaccessible, it would not be in the position we left it in, etc. It has gotten to the point my daughter says “I scared of camera” because the moonlight feature randomly came on one night

  Due to this, we purchased the Orbi WiFi system for our home that has the Bitdefender security installed. We have had tons of attacks on this monitor since then and I will share the screenshots of this. Please just be cautious and ensure you have some kind of WiFi security enabled (I’m not talking about WiFi password).

Works great… BUT!!!

 The temperature gauge is off 4-5 degrees, the air quality gauge doesn’t work well, when playing sounds/white noise from the monitor for baby, the sound quality is poor. For night time use, we connect it to a Bluetooth speaker, and sometimes the audio feed stops playing, so I have no idea if my baby is crying. So, overall the video is great, and the audio is ok, fancy features I could leave. I don’t think I would buy this again

Works well, but don’t buy for the bells and whistles

This is a great baby monitor overall but it has a couple of serious reliability issues. It stopped working after less than 10 months of use seemingly due to a power issue. It is unclear whether this is due to the socket on the monitor failing or the power cable itself; the adapter seems fine. I suspect the power supply problems are the reason why the monitor could no longer be powered off via the iBaby Care app, though the latter has proven to be buggy in the past

Reliability Issues

There are some decent features to the device, but the latest models are stuffed with garbage features. Stuff that's obviously designed to justify a higher pricetag

 I really love Amazon for being consumer friendly, but at the same time, I know they're in the marketing business.  I've had two iBabys get bricked. Both times, life was good for a long time, and then out of the blue, and I lost all ability to connect. iBaby was not forthcoming with the details, but from some web sleuthing I was able to piece together that in both cases, iBaby Labs pushed out a software update that, for whatever reason, didn't get applied correctly

I Would Not Buy Again

 My mother bought this for us when we found out we were expecting. Both of us did a ton of research and compared the specs of all kinds of cameras. This model was brand new when we got it, and all of the reviews on Amazon were fantastic. As a first time parent with an anxious personality, I loved some of the high tech features

And with pre-loaded lullabies, the night light projector, and the ability for both my husband and I to view from our phones, I felt like the bells and whistles made it worth the buy

 So annoying and unnecessary! The air meter is completely crap, and registers random statuses and alerts. And the video freezes constantly. The two way voice capabilities might as well not exist, because the sound quality is awful. Seriously, my son is in the next room and my voice over the monitor sounds like I'm calling from 1992

Misleading Reviews...Buyer Beware!

 This is a great monitor. A bit pricey, but worth it for the features for our growing family. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the picture for both night vision and regular- the functions worked surprisingly well over our internet, a high-speed connection. My boyfriend uses an iPhone and I have a Samsung

 The app on both devices works fine, but you will find a lot more negative reviews in the app store for the android than you'll see in the apple store.  For Android: When loaded into the app, it will run in the background and drain the battery a little faster- with androids the battery is already something to be concerned about, so there's not much you can do but keep a charger handy. If you leave the app running and leave the page, or have multiple pages running in the background, you will run the risk of the app itself crashing- if that happens you will need to force-exit it and reload into the camera, depending on how much is saved to your phone it will need to load back in. For me, this takes about 45 seconds

 Lastly, of what impressed me was the two-way talk capability- it was far clearer than expected. We've played with it so much since getting it and while I don't know how often we'll be using it, it is certainly nice to have!  I'm sure the quality will vary from phone to phone and depending on how much junk is saved to it, but for my moderately used phone and my boyfriend's heavily used phone- it works just fine. Like many tech products, things do change sometimes, I'll try to come back and give an update on the quality when the baby is actually here, but for now- a solid 4 to 4.5 stars

As of 12/9/2018 about a month after buying, the baby monitor still looks good. We bought this in preparation for our daughter coming in January and so far have seen minimal to no issues. This is a great monitor. A bit pricey, but worth it for the features for our growing family

A smart, smart baby monitor.

 (It's also a little weird that audio/visual from our house has to go through iBaby servers and come back rather than just be able to connect via LAN or bluetooth - why insist on that?) There's also no "audio-only" mode. One *must* stream video which eats bandwidth and battery. It's losing some stars for that. I do not recommend this product

 There's no way for your phone/tablet to connect directly with the monitor. This is a problem if you have even slightly slower internet (eg. overseas using a VPN) or if your ISP has an outage. If a VPN that is fast normally enough for streaming on multiple devices has someone using Skype, the monitor gets all choppy

 It's losing some stars for that. I do not recommend this product.  Another update: While travelling, we (again) had issues connecting it to B&B and hotel internet, especially if it was a slower network. Additionally, when the internet goes out, you are stuck without a baby monitor

 The picture quality is great as long as only one person is using the app. If there’s more than one, it gets grainy. It seems silly to have a monitor that advertises it can use WiFi with multiple users, but yet it doesn’t function well with more than one user logged in.  The night vision is good, no complaints there
