**HP OMEN 16-c0020ca (AMD Radeon RX6600M)**. * AMD Ryzen 7 6800H (up to 4.7 Ghz max boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, 8 cores, 16 threads). * AMD Radeon RX 6600M Graphics (8 GB GDDR6 dedicated). * 16 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM (2 x 8 GB).

If performance is the only concern, then there is nothing to criticize about the combination of the Ryzen 7 and AMD's RX 6600M. Current games can be played at high or maximum detail levels. Even the QHD resolution does not overstrain the hardware of the HP Omen 16-c0077ng.

• Out of the box it had the track pad issue , I fixed it like this: • Wasted 1 day because of performance issues despite updating everything and trying everything , I was going mad until I found the issue, I fixed it by plugging the power cable all the way in as seen here, terrible design. After that was sorted wow it's fast.

Better buy a HP Omen 16 or 17 or you can choose lenovo legion 5. If your son has a student mail ID or any email id with .edu ending, you can sign up for education store in HP ( I don't know about lenovo) and you can get hp omen 17 with 16gb ram, rtx 3070 (full powered) and i7-11800h which can last for atleast 4 to 5 years(although you might not be able to play at ultra settings after 3 years) for 1250$ + tax . Or if it is possible you can wait for 2-3 months for the next gen intel laptop CPU's to launch and then decide.
