It worked well enough in my tests when I had it aimed at me, but coverage varied at those side angles, where the airstream is positioned lower or higher due to that diagonal grille. The bigger issue was that the Vornado V-Flow was the noisiest fan I tested, ringing in at 50 decibels on the highest of its three speeds from a distance of 30 inches. On top of that, my remote wouldn't work, which echoes frustrations I've seen from user reviews at retailers where the V-Flow is sold. That, plus a lack of features beyond the usual sleep timer, has me saying no thanks to Vornado's $70 price tag here (and I'd probably skip it during a sale, too)

The Vornado V-Flow tower fan features a neat-looking build that twists the fan's grille around the cylindrical base. It's one of the best-looking tower fans I tested -- but it doesn't oscillate like a traditional tower fan, relying instead on that twisty design to move a wider field of air throughout the room.

 Most tower fans come with a remote control and most of those remotes are cheap and bulky, but some tower fans do a better job than others of providing a way of docking those remotes when they aren't in use. The wide variety of designs gave me lots to think about, too -- tower fans are large and conspicuous enough that it's worth it to look for one that isn't too ugly or bulky.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience testing this fan out. For starters, my remote stopped working shortly after I began my tests and the fan itself came out of its flimsy base after I'd hauled the thing back and forth between my bedroom and living room a few times. The 35W power draw was the lowest of all the fans I tested, but I felt that lack of power in the form of an underwhelming stream of air, even at the highest setting. At $60, this tower fan might be selling for twice as much as it's worth

I have to keep the fan on low so I can hear the TV. And the plastic base made slight rattle/vibration if on a hard surface that was a bit annoying so I put a folded over flat t-shirt under base and that noise is gone. 

But the part of the description about quiet cooling as you can see here (The three-speed Honeywell Turbo Force air circulator fan is designed to deliver quiet, powerful, personal cooling. In fact, this Honeywell HT-900 fan is up to 25 percent quieter than other models currently on the market.) to me was not accurate. Although, it does say "up to 25%"

 This NEW and UNIMPROVED model only -- "blows doors". I would purchase a bigger fan of this brand or keep on shopping for another brand which offers compact yet MORE POWERFUL fans.

This fan used to be a "golden nugget" as it was small and compact but packed a big punch via strong cool air and fairly nominal noise factor. Now it is similarly compact but they've sucked the life out of it via a weak motor (likely in the effort of making it quieter) and even on high this isn't cooling a room "jack squat". The POWER/FORCE is WAY down so even though they claim air can be felt from 20 plus feet away my response is.

Our condo's AC took a dump on the 4th of July so I immediately grabbed a couple of these fans. I have an older model on my desk at work and it seriously "blows my hair back". "It Once Was Platinum and Now it is Copper"...

 That means the fan motor ran cooler and did not have to work as hard. This contributed greatly to its very long lifespan.  It is the same principal as how a light bulb on a dimmer will last much longer than the same bulb at full brightness. A 200 watt light bulb dimmed down to 100 watts only runs at half power but still gives a 100 watt light

 I recommend this fan, but keep in mind that it may not last as long as the older models did.

I have had a Honeywell HT-800 for over 12 years. I think I paid just under $10 for it back in 2007. It has been an amazing little fan that has never failed me. I use the fan on the floor facing straight up to circulate the air throughout the room

Air circulation

I bought this to run off my 120v power bank if the grid went out.  It's kinda noisy for the amount of air it puts out. And it's not very energy efficient, drawing 45w on high which is a lot for a small fan that doesn't move tons of air. Running it on low doesn't save as much power as it should but helps a lot with the noise

Ultimately I bought a more efficient fan instead for running on battery, but kept this around for general use.  If you're buying a fan to run on battery bank, OR you want something quiet or energy efficient, pony up the money for a DC Vornado instead
