Grado SR60e Review: Incredible Affordable Headphones!

So, you know, they are a fantastic piece of kit and I would recommend them to anybody.

At least it would last me 5 years, and more is better. The $1,000 should likewise include the amp if that is necessary. I only have a Grado SR60e as my only headphone. But, I don't mind having a different sound from the Grado.

Grado SR60e/SR60

The Grado SR60e are subpar headphones for everyday, casual use. They have an above-average but sharp sound quality and an open design that gives them a wide soundstage compared to most on-ears. However, they leak a lot of audio and don't block any noise. They're not stable enough to use while doing sports, and they're not ideal for loud environments, commuting, or office use.

my friend’s mom really likes the koss kph30i after her son bought them. then she listened to my grado sr60e and enjoyed them so much i just gave them to her. it’s nice when good headphones can be appreciated.

I was watching DankPods on YouTube, and he had a review of the SR60e’s. I’d seen the video before, but finally decided to buy them. They were out of stock of them, so I bought the 80’s instead for a bit higher price. Grado doesn’t advertise, so they only go by word of mouth.

What makes getting a pair of "audiophile" quality headphones worth it over a more "generic" pair of headphones

I stumbled on some audio related channels, and decided to take a chance and order a set of Grado SR60e headphones for $75. While I was used to bass, these were the opposite, with more pronounced mids and highs, and so much more detail. Sounds I've never heard in music I thought I knew very well. Quiet background noises, slights echos or micro details that help the music sound more realistic.
