You can just put it right on the ground or on an object, a stone or a seat or I just put in the snow and it works great. Have no complaints about this...

Looking for a suggestion for a portable lantern that could also serve as a powerbank/batterybank.

Works really well as a camping lantern. Totally satisfied for that. I just wish the built in charging cable was removable in case it breaks or you want to be more than 8” from the usb charger.

Lantern is not solar powered

In the product description, it states that it is solar powered.it is false advertisement. The solar panel is a separate purchase.

Goal Zero. We actually use ours around the house pretty often (weird layout, have to go down stairs and through passage to get to the washroom at night, but if you turn on the regular light to not die on the narrow ass stairs you blind the other person trying to sleep because of how the windows angle...anyhow...). We have two of them actually because we loved the first so much and get frequent power outages. We have the Mini Cores, but if you are looking for a larger one the regular Core and the Lighthouse 600 are very well reviewed.

Good but diffraction pattern could be better

I like this lamp in many ways (adjustable brightness, lighting options, USB charging, hanging). But I can't figure out where to put it. On a table it doesn't brighten anything useful. Higher it blinds me. Some kind of diffusion flexibility would make it much more useful.
