Fanatec CSL Elite Racing Wheel

As someone who used to own a CSL elite wheel and a 1080, And is now running a DD1 and a 3080. Go for the wheel. Absolutely nothing came close to the upgrade in immersion and driving that I got from going direct drive.

Those wheels are awesome, I started with a logitech driving force, then the t300 and now I own a fanatec csl elite. Theres not much a difference between the last two, If you don’t want to spend much just buy the thrustmaster. Also you can build yourself a usb adapter for your logitech shifter with a 10$ arduino leonardo “not the original” and you can use your shifter alongside the t300.

Especially with Fanatec.... DD wheel is very expensive and over the top for a beginner. Combined with the cost for a rig and everything you end up at 2.000 up to 3.000 Bucks. Are you sure that you are so into simracing that you want to spent this amount of money?.

The T300 is a better option. But again its dependant on budget. For a begginer wheel though, just speaking in terms of the product itself irregardless of price, its a damn good wheel. It's quite sturdy, has a great feel to it and it gets the job done.

The G29 is at least as good so you will enjoy. Bought the Fanatec CSL Elite in Black Friday sale. However, not satisfied. The steering feels “notchy”.

I had the csl elite wheel base for a bit over 2 years and never had issues with it and was a lot of fun. Perhaps I don’t abuse the equipment like it’s meant to be? But I do take care of my tech stuff as well to the point my wife accuses me of being ocd. I’ve never used a simucube though, but imagine like all higher end gear, if you take care of it, should last quite a while.

I have a tx, decent wheel bit I would suggest forking out a little more if you're upgrading from g920 so you notice bigger difference on performance. Maybe ts-pc racer, or ts-xw, or Fanatec CSL Elite?

I think a G920/G29 would be perfect. I’ve used one for ages and it’s a great beginner wheel. (just upgraded to a Fanatec CSL Elite after having caught the bug)

Have yet to use - but initial impressions really impressed with the quality & feel for an entry level wheel
