 So yeah, that's the driving segment. Not a whole lot to say because it's just a steering wheel. I mean what we'll do next is yeah, just go ahead and get over to the final thoughts: [Music] Final Thoughts on Phonetics Clubsport Formula V2 wheel I think I'm more happy about what they didn't changed from the original carbon fiber wheel then what has been changed on the V2 wheel. the original Carbon F1 wheel which I won't be calling I think the V1 Formula wheel from now on is a good wheel I think I Like the way the grips felt and the overall handling when racing

 that fanatic makes not so much some of the other ones they make, but this is definitely one of the one of the better ones. I Think now this is an aluminum frame here that has a carbon fiber sticker on it and let's go ahead and put that away. From now, this one is made a little differently. now

 and you know I do like the fact that this now of a whole carbon-fiber solid carbon fiber frame. not that it really adds any any more rigid feeling or you know, a solid feeling to it than a hand originally. but yeah it's just. aesthetically, it looks very cool and being able to replace the grips very easily is also a high point of these Clubsport F1 wheels

 The good news is, as seen here in this video, you can still mount some of the aftermarket shifters to this wheel to make a big improvement to them. or at the same time, you will be able to order the very cool-looking podium shifters and add some magnetic goodness to your V 2 F1 wheel. Overall: I Would not hesitate to recommend the V2 Formula wheel unless you already have the original version as that one is still a great wheel to use and as I understand it will be fully compatible with Fanatics Podium D D 1 and D D two wheelbases I'm Barry Rowland Thanks again for watching the Simracing Garage Channel.  It'll be nice if the features were implemented by Codemasters but that's not fanatics fault, that's more of a code master sting and it's specific to F1 2018 as well. But hopefully all those things will be working in F1 2019. we can always hope. Okay guys, so that is my first impressions of the Clubsport V2 Formula Wheel from Fnatic

Hey guys will here! welcome back to the channel Now today's video I'm really excited about because I've been waiting to make this video for about three and a half months. So finally today I've got my hands on our brand new fanatic Clubsport Formula V2 steering wheel. so I pre-ordered this on announcement day which was back I think on the 12th of December and I've been waiting and checking online pretty much every single day to see when it would ship and it did ship on the due date which was awesome and it's finally arrived here today at the start of March. So I haven't unboxed it yet I've kept it a little nice in the packaging so that I can unbox it with you and share my first impressions with you guys

FANATEC ClubSport Formula V2 Wheel - Unboxing, Setup, Testing & Review

Going through a Gulf phase

I'm gonna get *one* of these two.  Either [Clubsport BMW GT2 v2](https://fanatec.com/us-en/steering-wheels/clubsport-steering-wheel-bmw-gt2-v2), or the [Clubsport Formula Carbon](https://fanatec.com/us-en/steering-wheels/clubsport-steering-wheel-formula-carbon)

The issue is timing - I'm gonna get them when my CSL DD ships in late September.  I think the BMW wheel is more versatile, *but* it's in back order and wouldn't ship until October.  Also, my wife *hates* bmw drivers - she says it's always bmw people who are the most rude.  She's more of a Mercedes person ;)  


I've also always wanted the formula carbon, and I'll be able to get it right away.  But I'm afraid when people come visit, they'll be able to adjust/enjoy the sim a lot more if they have something similar to what they have in their own car.  


So, what do you guys think?

I used round/gt style wheels all my life (the versatility is second to none) but recently started using a formula style wheel for open wheel and some gt races ( had to use a round/gt wheel for long beach, my wrists thanked me in that last hairpin 😂)

So what do you guys use? Do you stick with one type or swap around depending on the situation, if so what do you use for specific race types?
