If you're set on getting the most cutting-edge performance for your money, the best cheap gaming mouse for enthusiasts is the EVGA X12. While its regular price makes it more of a mid-range option, it's very frequently on sale and is a great deal whenever it falls under the $30 mark. Its overall shape is symmetrical, with a pair of side buttons on the left and right sides, meaning it's a great choice whether you're right or left-handed. Overall, its build quality is good, but there's some flexibility in the sides of the plastic body. There's also a small amount of wobble in the left- and right-click buttons, and there's a rattling sound from the mouse wheel if you shake the mouse. However, these issues don't affect performance while gaming.

In terms of raw performance, it has extremely low click latency and a very consistent and accurate sensor. This mouse is also one of the few options currently available that offers polling rates higher than the standard 1000Hz, which provide smoother-feeling cursor movements and slightly better click latency. While using the maximum 8000Hz polling rate setting requires a fairly powerful six-core gaming rig, most modern gaming setups can take advantage of 2000Hz or even 4000Hz polling rate options. Altogether, this mouse offers excellent all-around gaming performance and some cutting-edge technology typically exclusive to higher-priced options, and it's a great cheap option when it goes on sale.

 Yeah the cord on this thing is super duper nice it's even got the branding on it and that little band that goes around it to hold it in place is feels really premium I like that. Mouse itself you know nothing spectacular the feet are nice skates or whatever you want to call them are pretty nice. So again this is the EVGA X12 gaming mouse I was able to pick it up for $14.99 on Amazon the sensor has on it is a Pixar 3389 it's available in black or white of course I got the black one I believe probably the white one's a little more expensive some of the things I've noticed it has sort of a plain Jane kind of you know you don't take this one out and show it off but a plain Jane appearance that's cool not a problem I mean it's for gaming not for looking pretty right it's definitely not as gamer-y as most but it does feel great to use

 Alright so easy first impressions very very light I think it's you know feels

 feels like it's built pretty good we're gonna pull off some of these decals and

 see what we can get from this bad boy see what we need to do. The cord is very

 nice the cable is very nice rather I'm not sure what the profile button being

 on the bottom is I hope there's some software for this because I'd imagine

 you know EVGA being a pretty big brand it should have something you know pretty

 decent on that end so we're gonna see. Alright so as you can see the software for this

 thing is pretty darn nice you got five whole profiles you got DPI settings I

 like 1600 I don't know I've said that before I'm not sure what LOD and

 calibration is I've really messed with that that's pretty cool something

 different. Lighting effects you can set each of the three different sections to

 something different if you want to I just kind of leave them on rainbow

 because that's cool. Key assignment again I don't really do this sort of stuff but

 you could remap I guess pretty much everything you can make it right-handed

 or left-handed that's pretty cool. Macro editor kind of same thing you can pick

 based on game by game if we really wanted to and that's really cool. One of

 the things in the general settings here as you can see you can pick the report

 rate all the way up to 8,000 increasing the pulling rate above 1,000

 Hertz may lead to compatibility issues with some games so yeah that's cool

 that they can go all the way up to 8,000. I haven't really tried the 8,000 I'm

 not sure if it'd make me a better gamer can it make me better we shall see so I

 think there's a lot of different you know really cool things with this and I'm

 glad that finally I get a gaming mouse with the really cool software so that's

 you know you can use the same mouse we're all equal here so my gaming

 experience with this thing is you know it checks all the boxes I haven't had

 any problems I can't get it to spin out or act crazy on me I would definitely

 have to say that gaming wise this thing definitely does the job like I said it

 feels good it looks okay you know it's gonna be under your hands you're not

 really gonna see it anyway it moves around just fine it's you know the feet

 on it are really nice the overall experience man let me tell you get on

 there and do some gaming get a hold of one of these bad boys and do your thing

 you know I could say that it's definitely a really solid option there

Scroll Wheel breaks after a week of use

EVGA X12 - BEST BUDGET Work From Home Mouse? (Part 1)

 Hey everyone and welcome back to my channel.

 Many of you, including myself, were fortunate enough to be able to work from home during

 Many of us, however, were not provided with the equipment to do our jobs from home so

 a lot of us ended up spending our own money and buying them.

 Well I was given office equipment to work from home but I may as well have just bought

 The wireless keyboard and mouse that I got was not so great as having two AA batteries

 power both the keyboard and the mouse were not ideal as I found myself replacing them

 every six months and also having to deal with the occasional input lag and the hiccups where

 it would disconnect and reconnect without warning.

 Now today I may have found the best budget branded mouse and keyboard combination out

 on the market that could very well replace your own office keyboard and mouse setup,

 So stay a while, listen, and let's get started.

 So, I decided to do this video in two parts as this would be a super long video including

 the keyboard so for this one I'll just be focusing on the mouse itself which is the

 First off I just wanted to begin by saying that I am not using this for gaming purposes.

 I am using this mouse and keyboard combination for typical office work such as typing, crunching

 This mouse is ambidextrous so right or left handed individuals can use this without issue.

 It's also a nice fit in my palm as I do have large hands, it didn't feel like I was cradling

 a small object and did not cause any strain on my wrist or my palms whatsoever.

 Next we'll take a look at the buttons, the left mouse button, the right mouse button,

 the scroll wheel slash optional button, the DPI button with the five levels of DPI, turning

 it to the left side you have the forward button, the backward button, and the right side is

 a mirror image of the left since it is ambidextrous with the forward button here and the backward

 Let's plug in the mouse and see how it looks like.

 Alright so now that it's plugged in the default RGB colors begin to auto play.

 Now here we do need to download software to change the colors and the modes as well which

 I'll go ahead and show you all how to do.

 First you'll need to download the EVGA Unleash software, I'll go ahead and put a link in

 the description to make it easier for you all.

 Install it and once finished you'll have to update the firmware of your mouse.

 Now once that's updated you can open up the program and change the settings of your mouse

 and keyboard but for the purposes of this video we'll go ahead and take a look at the

 Here you have the options for the general settings, DPI, LOD and calibration, lighting

 effects, key assignments, and the macro editor.

 Here we'll go over the lighting effects.

 There are three zones that you can control independently and each has their own attribute.

 Each zone can have a static on, breathing, rainbow, pulse, trigger, and heartbeat modes.

 Each zone also has a wide range of RGB colors that you can select from them.

 Here I think we'll go with something simple like maybe blue.

 Now again there are other settings you can mess with but for now I'm just going to go

 Overall I really do like this mouse and it does suit my purpose well.

 Again this is going to be my new work mouse and not to be used for gaming whatsoever.

 I wanted something simple and cheap and by the build of this I can definitely say I got

 I also wanted something cheap so if in case circumstances somehow led me to throw my mouse

 out the window or throw it down on the ground I wouldn't be out of a lot of money and I'm

 If you want to add a little color to your work from home setup the EVGA X12 RGB gaming

 mouse is the best budget branded mouse to do that with and I use the word branded loosely

 because EVGA is not really known for their keyboards and mice so yeah.

This type of mouse made a great present

 I got it a few days ago and I've been putting it through the ringer. This mouse costs $49.99 I believe. If you're an EVGA Elite member you can get free shipping for a limited time I believe

 So comfort wise you know I give this thing like a 3 out of 10 but performance wise and value wise you know this is like definitely like a 92. It's just great as far as the performance and for the money it's hard to beat. You know $50 for a good sensor with 8kHz polling rate you know it's not super heavy. It's a pretty good deal I believe

 Let's check it out. Alright guys, yep, this mouse right here is a brand new mouse, it just came out the other day. I got it a few days ago and I've been putting it through the ringer. This mouse costs $49

 There's definitely other mice that are ambidextrous that don't have the discomfort level that this mouse has. I definitely think there's parts of the shape that lock you in the aiming and it's all this this section at the back I think is making a big difference. But I just think if you could just modify this right side right here you'd have a really really good mouse. And if you could also somehow make this wireless get rid of some of this RGB get the weight down even more I think you have a real winner on your hands

Has EVGA actually made a good gaming mouse???

 What's up mouse enthusiasts, this is Dave with Gen 3D Tech.

 Today we're going to be looking at the EVGA X12 Amadextrous Wired Gaming Mouse.

 Alright guys, yep, this mouse right here is a brand new mouse, it just came out the other

 I got it a few days ago and I've been putting it through the ringer.

 Anyways this mouse was one that interested me when I saw it.

 Their first round of mice that came out last year were not very appealing looking.

 They're very 5-10 years ago styling wise.

 This still has a little bit of that styling but they've toned it down a bit and I hope

 The other thing that people were complaining about is all the mice that they came out with

 This mouse comes in at 75 grams which is, you know, anything under 80 grams I consider

 And it definitely feels pretty light in the hands.

 I don't have a problem with the weight whatsoever.

 The shape is actually very different than any mouse that I've ever felt.

 It's this part right here on both sides.

 That part right there just kind of, I don't know, it locks you in.

 The thing that, the initial reaction that I got when I first started using this was

 It felt very uncomfortable and it actually caused me some pain.

 This finger right here, it's like I didn't know what to do with it.

 I kept accidentally actuating these side mouse buttons on the right hand side.

 You can definitely use this mouse or if you like having buttons on both sides.

 But it's actually very difficult to actuate these right buttons as a right handed person

 I really wish they did what the Dorn finger mouse that I reviewed recently did.

 On that mouse there's a little switch that you can turn off one side or the other or

 Because I've accidentally hit these buttons quite a few times.

 And to continue on with the shape, if I could give them some constructive criticism, what

 I'd like to see is an Argo version of this mouse for right handed people.

 It's this right hand, this part right here that they need to change.

 Give me a place to rest this finger right here.

 And I think it would be a phenomenal mouse.

 As for the build quality of this mouse, it seems pretty solid to me from what I've felt.

 There's a little bit of side flex right there on the sides.

 As for side flex, there's very very little.

 And there's very very little pre travel and post travel.

 Very good implementation of the switches and buttons.

 The score wheel is actually nice and quiet.

 It does feel fairly tactile and it does have some RGB there.

 I actually don't mind the score wheel whatsoever.

 It's not the best but it's definitely not something that's hurting it.

 The DPI button is pretty large but I don't have any problems accidentally hitting this

 On the bottom there's a profile button so you can switch between profiles and I'll go

 And as far as the sensor, it's a Pixart 3389 sensor which is a very capable sensor.

 The other nice thing that this thing has is it has a separate LOD sensor which helps maintain

 the liftoff distance which is a nice feature.

 Some of the other higher versions of this mouse that came out last year have two LOD

 sensors and this one only has one but I think one of the things they were trying to do,

 the main complaints on those mice were they were too expensive, people wanted to get something

 right in this price range which was the $40, $50 range and they wanted something lighter

 So I think they're partially there and I definitely have some suggestions for the next one and

 I think if they follow those we're going to have a spectacular mouse because one thing

 that this thing has going for it is the internals are just great.

 The sensor on it is great, the tracking, I've never aimed better in any other mouse than

 It's not comfortable for sure, like I would not use this as a daily driver mouse.

 As far as shooter games, I've never performed better aiming wise than on this mouse.

 It wasn't comfortable at first and I kind of learned how to adjust my style.

 I used more of a claw style grip on this and that reduced some of the pain that I felt

 But it's still there a little bit and if you play this for a long time it's not super comfortable

 but it's kind of worth it for how well I performed.

 Kind of reminds me of the Extrify MZ1 even though it has completely different shapes

 but that mouse also is not very comfortable but I aim really well with it.

 We all do review on that one here in the future, it's just in the pile of mice I have.

 One thing I'm not crazy about is the feet, they're just a weird shape especially in the

 front so it's going to make it really difficult to swap them out for aftermarket feet.

 Because this is probably not going to be a very popular mouse overall sales wise, I doubt

 anybody is going to make any for this mouse.

 So you're going to be limited on the options.

 They're not terrible but I would have liked to have seen some feet that were a little

 bit more standard, that would be easier to replace.

 As far as the switches go, they're Omron 60mm switches.

 Some people either hate Omrons or they love them.
