- Great for home theater
- Bright and colorful
- Comes with a 2 year warranty
- No returns, but the product is refurbished
- Enjoyed the product
I set the lamp to eco mode and lowered the brightness from 50 to about 45 where it started to lose detail, but nothing really did enough to help it. A few other problems also soured the experience, though they could probably have been dealt with if black levels were fine. Most annoying being that that the projector kept losing signal during transitions (menu>loading screen>video), and often not regaining it without stopping and restarting. I assume probably signal confusion from me running it through my old Denon AVR-2310.

Great projector but no sound outputs for surround
This projector is amazing with only one real major flaw, no sound outputs. This means there is no way to hook up an external surround sound system without purchasing an audio extractor. The on board speaker is way less than adequate to use by itself. Plan on adding an hdmi audio extractor to your ca...

Epson Cinema 1060 - Where to go when the unit wouldn’t work (New lamp.). Thanks!
I enjoyed the Epson 1060: (Last purchased Nov 30, 2018) and the lamp died in May 2021. That’s good because the bulb was not supposed to go too long. So far, awesome. I purchased YUHAOYA v13h010l96 Replacement Projector lamp for epson powerlite Home Cinema, I cleaned the filter. The unit worked okay ...

List of used projectors. Which one to buy?
Reject everything other than the Epson and Optoma. Infocus is good but they specialize in business data projectors not home theater. The rest are various cheap Chinese projectors that will not last very long and will likely have terrible optics. Vankyo in particular is terrible.

There are a lot of great things going for this unit
There are a lot of great things going for this unit, and only one negative, but it's a big one. Picture quality is great, easy to set up, and decently bright in the right circumstances. *However*, this unit has a "regular power" mode, and an "ECO power-saving" mode. Regular power runs the bulb at th...

We're looking to start having friends over for evening movies in the backyard. I've ordered an Epson 1060, which should be bright enough to handle things as the sun goes down. Next I need a screen. The only screen I see recommended regularly around here is the Elite Yardmaster 2, but my wife is really interested an inflatable screen similar to this

High pitched noise goes away eventually (update) horrible bulb life
(Read below for original review.) So 13 months later, approximately 1,600 hours of viewing time, give or take, high pitch noise would come and go, not quite as annoying over time, or maybe I just got used to it, put the speakers closer to me and I couldn't hear it as much. However, the bulb just wen...
