Enlightened Equipment Revelation

**Fit:** At 5'11" and 155ish lbs, the regular size fit me very well. With my first quilt (EE Revelation 20), I made the mistake of purchasing a wide when I didn't need it. With the Vesper, I never really ran into issues with drafts, but it might be a tough adjustment for first-time quilt users who are active sleepers, given its somewhat narrow dimensions.

I currently have an EE revelation 30 degree quilt and I sleep very hot regularly. I want a 50 quilt that packs down pretty small. A lot of the 50 bags I see are much more bulky than the quilt I currently own and I don’t want to sacrifice space for a sleeping bag when I could just suck it up with my currant quilt. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!.

I am based in the PNW, run cold, am female, but not small. I have the 10 degree EE Revelation from before they increased the fill. I am generally happy with it, although I will pack a sleeping bag if I’m expecting below freezing temps.

I'd recommend a synthetic quilt for your summer + winter stacking quilt. A 40f should work fine based on you being a cold sleeper. An Enlightened Equipment Revelation APEX in 40f/wide is $200.

Planning to use as my winter bag. Having come from a FF Rock Wren and a EE Revelation 30 (long/wide), I'm quite impressed with it. The ETC (edge tension control) feature is pretty bomber. I'm 5'11" 185lbs and it has plenty of room for me, plus a puffy and down booties.

She most enjoys the Nemo Tensor insulated pad and an EE revelation quilt in long wide. The long wide version of the quilt allows her to move around a bit without feeling constricted like bags / quilts with more narrow foot boxes and the Nemo pad is thick enough for her to switch around sleeping positions and not touch ground. Given you’re a bit smaller you would probably be good with a regular size EE quilt.

I've used a ee revelation 20 camping around here down to about 23 deg and stayed comfy wearing my puffy. Def had frost on the outside of my quilt that morning though so for multiday trips I can see it getting problematic if you don't dry it out. It can be kinda overkill in the summer but if you're in the whites for example it can still be really nice to have. 20 def has worked for me here!.

I'm not a cold sleeper but I've been using a custom EE Revelation for about 2 solid years now. I thru hiked the AT with it, so at this point I've got a couple hundred nights in the thing. It's a double wide/950 fill/10D/7D. I would highly recommend them, just insane quality and it was my favorite piece of gear.

- Size seems spacious for 1 person yet enough for 2 without being cramped like most 2 people tents. Weight for 1 person to carry shouldn't be too bad either even though it's a compromise for the space.
