I'm not a cold sleeper but I've been using a custom EE Revelation for about 2 solid years now. I thru hiked the AT with it, so at this point I've got a couple hundred nights in the thing. It's a double wide/950 fill/10D/7D. I would highly recommend them, just insane quality and it was my favorite piece of gear

Location/temp range/specific trip description: The LCT will be my shakedown trip, but I'm hoping to use similar gear for a lot of 2-3 night trips in Oregon, Washington, and California this year (this is also why I'm not including the Bare Boxer in my base weight - it won't get used on most trips I want to do with this setup, LCT is an exception).
Goal Baseweight (BPW): Sub-9
Budget: up to $1k combined for sleep system and shelter upgrades
Non-negotiable Items: N/A nothing is sacred
Solo or with another person?: Solo
Additional Information: Would *love* some quilt recommendations with actual usage experience from fellow cold sleepers.

Lost Coast Trail + Summer West Coast Fastpacking

 It is the first hammock setup I have had - but haven't found a reason to change - works great. It's heavier than my tent setup - but never had a better sleep :).

I was pretty damn happy with my Dutchware Chameleon but after trying a friend's Warbonnet Blackbird XLC I knew I had to get one. The Wooki UQ is super easy to set up and the 0° temp rating is gonna allow me to take my hiking/camping well through the winters. Can't wait to take it out!

I am based in the PNW, run cold, am female, but not small. I have the 10 degree EE Revelation from before they increased the fill. I am generally happy with it, although I will pack a sleeping bag if I’m expecting below freezing temps.

I expect temperatures that occasionally dip to freezing or slightly below, mostly in the PNW. For context, I have a Thermarest NeoAir XLite pad and am fine sleeping in my puffy jacket sometimes. Thoughts on getting a 20 degree vs 10 degree rated EE quilt for this? If I go with the 20 degree, is it crazy to bring a liner for ~5 degree added warmth (and significant comfort) on especially cold hikes? Specifically interested in insights from people who are smaller, female, tend to run cold, or all three. Thanks!

The Kammok Firebelly is a versatile all-star. It's great enough as a regular blanket: it has generous dimensions with a high loft while maintaining its compressibility. However, it's all of the other modes that take this blanket to the next level. The bottom can be snapped and cinched closed to create a cozy foot box for keeping warm while sitting around a fire. A full set of snaps on each side can also convert this blanket into a full-on camping quilt when paired with the included sleeping pad straps. It triples as a hammock underquilt and quadruples as a poncho with a zipper opening in the middle of the blanket. As a bonus, it also comes with a watertight stuff sack and a large long-term storage sack.
For an otherwise exceptional blanket, there are just a couple of characteristics that we wish were different. The inner liner is the same ripstop nylon as the rest of the exterior. It's soft but not exceptionally comfortable; it can get pretty sticky against bare skin. These excellent features come at a premium price, so this quilt is for those who know it will benefit from its versatility. Having said that, the Kammock Firebelly is one of our absolute favorites as a basic blanket and a multi-purpose insulator.

I’m not sure if I should go for the Field Blanket, Mountain Blanket, or a Bobcat or another Firebelly. I don’t plan on camping in Winter conditions. TIA!
