With a sturdy, lightweight zig-zag sole with extra platform height, the blaire sandal by Dr. Martens has tons of classic doc's attitude and hard wearing durability — and is 100 percent vegan. 

 Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began near Munich, Germany in 1945 when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To make walking easier during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air-cushioned sole. Using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to his engineer/inventor friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and produce the shoes. Not only did the shoe solve the doctor's immediate problem, but it also started to sell well in Germany. By 1959 the two decided that they needed a company to produce and distribute the shoes, then called Dr. Maertens, in other parts of the world. At first, many manufacturers rejected the concept of an air cushioned sole as a short-lived gimmick. However, the R. Griggs Group, located in the village of Wollaston in England, decided to go along with the idea by creating the first work boot with the revolutionary sole. On the first of April 1960, the first cherry red eight-eyelet work boot was produced and named 1460. To sell the brand name better in England, the name was anglicized to Dr. Martens. The range was branded AirWair and the rest is history.

 One of the reasons why I love Doc Martens versus any other brand is because Doc Martens is a very rapidable brand. Their boots have been around for so long and it's become a classic. So not only are these boots very, very high quality, but you know, I can see myself wearing these for years. They're not going to fall apart on me and pretty much every Doc Martens style I get becomes a closet essential

 Also a good tip is to always carry band-aids with you. So if you're nervous about them hurting, keep some band-aids in your purse, your wallet, your car, whatever, just keep them with you in case it hurts and you need a band-aid to buffer. When it comes to sizing, these weren't true to size. So I would say just get your normal size because if they are too big, it's really obvious because your feet are going to feel really loose around the straps and because your feet is exposed in the sandal, you're going to be able to tell if it's too big and you know if there's a gap in the back or if there's a gap in the front, it's going to look very obvious

 But on the Doc Martens website, they only have full sizes. So if you're a half size, get the half size smaller. So for example, I'm a six and a half. I got a size six, which fits me perfectly

 I've loved the Doc Martens since I was in seventh grade. so I'm never gonna stop wearing these. I'm gonna wear these until I'm a grandma if I still have them or pass them down to my kids. but they are very versatile

 That is my opinion. That is what I feel is best. personally based off of my experience I Also want to talk about the wear of these shoes I Was seeing a lot of people say these are way too tight when I order my size down or these are way too loose right here when I order a size like my size I will say in the size six I would say these they're a little tight but they're not like my foot can't get in there or my foot can't breathe like I would just say my foot I feel it, my foot feels the strap. Let's just say so it's not like super comfortable right there

 they were trying to compare them to the Doc Martin boots when it comes to sizing, but then I saw some people saying well these actually run bigger than the Doc Martin boots. So for reference, I am a size seven and a half I can do an eight but if I want my exact size I get a size seven and a half. So I was seeing online. everybody was saying go two sizes down or go one size down and I was stressed because like these, these have a hefty price tag

 The back has the little tab like the actual Doc Martin boots have and it's yellow and then it has the yellow stitching around it and then the platform heel. These are actually called bouncing soles like air. Bouncing soles are supposed to be super comfortable and I will say they are comfortable I wear them when I go and teach. so I wear them all day and my feet don't hurt so that's good

definitely “too big” but dr martens always are so buy your normal dr martens size and if you arent sure then size a full size down from your normal shoe size. unfortunately if you have slender feet, the middle strap is wayyy too big but i just used my rotary cutter and removed it and the shoe still fits and looks great! its a bummer to pay what i did and have to DIY them but it was a quick fix and amazon was offering $25 off anyways.  definitely need to break them in, they are amazingly comfortable but the ankle strap in the front rubs as soon as you put it on, so wear them in or moleskin them to death!

definitely too big, not for slender feet, but can be super cute and wearable with a little DIY!
