Good monitor, some things to know if using on MacOS Monterey
Overall, the monitor meets my expectations. Some items to note though if using on an M1 Mac with Monterey 12.1. For some frustrating reason, Apple has decided to enable VRR for external displays that support the feature by default. This means every time you wake your laptop/monitor from sleep, the m...
The 6 Best Monitors Under $500 - Spring 2022
The Dell S2722QC is the best 4k monitor under $500 that we've tested for the office. Although 4k monitors tend to be more expensive than $500, especially gaming ones, there are a few 4k office monitors that you can find in this price range.
TO 4k or not to 4k. Need some advice from gamers
The difference is more like: "oh that's pretty cool how games are a little more refined compared to my 1440p monitor.". Gaming at 60hz is very reasonable and does not meaningfully detract from your experience (in non competitive FPS), especially with VRR and low input lag. My 3080 10gb can barely hit 80 plus fps on RPGs at ultra (and will dip into 40 fps) so it's not exactly future proof. My suggestion is to get the Dell S2721QS(display port) or Dell S2722QC(USB-C) and enjoy the boost to productivity and the great 4k gaming performance they both have.
The 4 Best 27 Inch Monitors - Spring 2022
If you want a 27 inch monitor for the office, then the Dell S2722QC is a great choice. It's designed with a focus on productivity and has a bunch of features for that use. It has a USB hub with a USB-C input that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, allowing you to display an image from a compatible devic...
About as good as the much more expensive Dell U2720QM monitor (I own both)
I have external monitors at home and work so I can just plug in my M1 Macbook Air and have plenty of screen real estate. I bought this monitor 6 weeks ago to replace an aging 24" Dell monitor that had served me very well. But 4K monitors have been getting better and coming down in price, so it was t...
Very Good Monitor But Be Aware of M1 Mac Issue * Flickering **Update
Good monitor with sharp colors, good response for gaming, bright, etc. The ports are very good and the USB-Type C charges any laptop connected while acting as a display. The sound of the speakers could be a bit better but it is good enough. One thing to note though, if you are using M1 Mac (not sure...
Very clear 4K Picture Quality. Text Sharp for Office Work
Really like this monitor. Text is super sharp and great for office work. Had hard time finding USB-C to DisplayPort cables. You have to make sure the cable is Bi Directional. You can use HDMI to but I have multiple displays and needed DisplayPort. Coming from 32" 4K I think I prefer the sharpness if...
The 5 Best Monitors For Photo And Video Editing - Spring 2022
The Dell S2722QC is the best monitor for photo editing with a 27 inch screen and 4k resolution that we've tested. It's a good all-around monitor that delivers crisp images thanks to its high resolution. It's designed with productivity in mind, so it has many features for that
out-of-the-box defective monitor replaced with refurbished monitor
UPDATE 2: As of now, I do regret purchasing this Dell monitor. With a monitor that arrived in un-usable condition (a constant high-pitched noise when the screen is not active), I thought the replacement monitor would also be new. But it is a refurbished one with a label from Dell outlet stores. (The...
