There are plenty of good new turntables in that $200-$300 price range: AT-LP120X; Fluance RT80, RT81, RT82; Crosley C10 (made by Pro-Ject); Music Hall mmf-1.3; etc.

Looks great and sounds good until the motor starts humming. We use it nearly every day and it’s brought a lot of joy, however after a couple sides of music the motor will start to hum fairly loudly. I’ve looked up some solutions online, but it seems pretty involved.

Edit: I wanted to come back and improve my rating for this turntable based purely on my experience with Crosley support. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it didn't come with the drive belt. This is kind of a necessary part. I had to call the manufacturer and get them to ship me one. This took about 10 days to receive. But the thing plays great. Sound is awesome.
