 This is Recordology. Okay, and here it is, the Crosley C-10. As of the publication date of this video, this is their best of the best. This is the best that they have to offer, just like all other Crosleys and Audio-Technica units

 Okay, so we are unboxing it. And by the way, trying to find an analog as to what Project model this is, the closest I can find is a Project Debut Carbon, although this unit that we're looking at right here has an aluminum tonearm and not the carbon fiber tonearm. It's still awesome, it's still going to work just as good, it's just not going to be made of carbon fiber. And I think that's really the only difference

 Unlike most of our other units, the C10 is a component piece, so you're going to need a couple other things to get started. You're definitely going to need a preamp and a pair of speakers, and if those speakers aren't self-powered, you're also going to need a power amp as well. Now that you're all set up, simply flip the switch and enjoy your favorite record on the Crosley C10.

 Quiet musical passages and silence in between tracks is. well, pretty silent,dark (what is known in audio hi-fi lingo as "black background"). Motor noise, vibration is practically non-existent.

Again, speed accuracy passed admirably ("normal" is the word, in simplest terms, I will use to describe its speed accuracy). Tonearm and supplied Ortofon OM5e cartridge (a cartridge that when sold separately is just under the $100 mark) do a remarkable and synergistic job of just letting the music flow. There is no sibilance (harsh pronunciation of the letter "s" on vocals, "etched" or tinny sounding cymbals). No inner groove distortion (IGD) whatsoever; The last track plays just as clear and sonically pleasing as the first track

 I tested the C10 against my Technics 1200 MK2 and speed and pitch mimic that of the 1200. I also tested speed with a vinyl copy of an Alan Parsons Project vinyl record against (same album title) on cd..

 Highs are detailed without any risk of becoming ear and mind fatigued. Great stereo imaging (wider stage when compared to a Grado cartridge I am using on another turntable). Crosley/Pro-Ject Has A Winner !

 Pretty straightforward. I first hooked this up to my home theatre system through a music hall preamp, into a Yamaha head attached to Mirage speakers. Crisp, clean and clear -- clearly better than my Denon deck (although that was probably due for a cartridge upgrade.)  I then decided to try it with my Sonos system

  All in all, very happy here. The C-10 is my only "high end" turntable, but I am very satisfied. Sounds great, simple to use, and the birch look feels like it should cost $1000 more. Highly recommended!!!

And really the main difference between the RT82 and the RT85 and the RT83 and 84, the connections in between, are some different materials, and then also the cartridge. This one, the RT82, comes with an aluminum platter, whereas the RT85 would have an acrylic one. And then the other main difference is the cartridge

 But I don't think that vinyl and analog purists will mind the manual nature of the RT82 or other reference turntables. Another great feature built into the RT82 and the other reference line turntables that I briefly mentioned earlier are the adjustable feet underneath. These reference turntables have three adjustable rubber vibration isolating feet down here so that you can get the turntable to absolute level to get the best playback from your turntable. So once you have everything set up and you have it going through a preamp and into your speakers or receiver or headphones, how does it sound? Incredibly pure

5 inch powered speakers as well, which they have put together a nice package on their website. We've been big fans of what Fluance is doing there. Attention to high fidelity audio without breaking the bank is something that should catch most audiophile's attention and are definitely worth a look. It’s definitely not overkill (it’s an entry level turntable) but I don’t think it’s the best you can do for the money. Also that Best Buy exclusive color is a crime against humanity.

I grabbed a Pro-Ject Essential III for $300 on Amazon. I was trying to decide between a U-Turn, Fluance RT82, & the E3. The biggest reason I got the E3 was it was available immediately. I LOVE it. I upgraded from the AT LP60, which I liked, but am super excited with the E3. Good luck with your decision.

Would y’all consider this a decent tt for someone new to all this or is it overkill for a beginner? Decided to just get my own tt

 And what I've done is I've taken out the preamp in there. Some people have said that the preamp isn't very good, so I've taken it out and I'm using an external preamp. Hopefully, this is a step up from that. Fluance has come out with a new line of turntables and there's a few variations

Fluance RT82 Turntable Unboxing & Setup - YouTube

 My favorite is the OM Pro S, and it has great bass and amazing sound quality (the other two are great too). I bought the RT 82 as an upgrade for my vintage Technics SL 235, and I thought the OM 10 cartridge was a win-win for me. It has a cool design and looks. However, I am disappointed with the T 82 sound and the OM cartridge (probably I got a crappy one)

The Fluance RT 82 came with the OM 10 cartridge, which I was looking for too. I own a couple of cartridges; Ortofon Concorde MK2, OM Pro S, and Audio-Technica AT-VM95E. My favorite is the OM Pro S, and it has great bass and amazing sound quality (the other two are great too). I bought the RT 82 as an upgrade for my vintage Technics SL 235, and I thought the OM 10 cartridge was a win-win for me

 The sound quality of the bass is not match to my SL 235. I switched cartridges (and switched the pre-amps and used different pre-amps), and the sound quality of the RT 82 improved, but the sound of my SL 235 was still better. You will get a good sound with the RT-82 if you get a decent cartridge (OM Pro S, MK3, or better), and I still recommend the RT 82 if you need a good turntable.

 It has a cool design and looks. However, I am disappointed with the T 82 sound and the OM cartridge (probably I got a crappy one). The sound quality of the bass is not match to my SL 235.
