Deciding between Garmin 6x pro, 945, baro peak 9, or Vertix 2

I wouldn't buy 6x at this point because Fenix 7 seems imminent. Who knows, perhaps it will get dual band GPS chip (similar to the one in Vertix 2), which should improve accuracy. Personally I don't trust Coros in terms of having my personal data there, but that is just me.

This behemoth of a GPS watch has a few things to iron out

Overall, the Vertix 2 feels like a step on the way to something better.

Coros Reliability ???

I have had a white Garmin instinct and a black Suunto 9baro and loved them, but the Vertix battery takes the cake IMO. A lot of the extra features didn’t work as well on the other watches or weren’t as reliable as I anticipated. The Suunto and Garmin body batter features were very mehhhh. And the sleep tracking was so so.

I had Garmin Fenix 5x and Polar Vantage V. Today I checked out Coros Vertix 1 and 2 in the shop and i really like it's design, overall training options, and battery life which is crazy too. Scrolling with round button is fun for me too.

But yes other than screen size, and gopro, insta360 camera control, onboard music, and a few other features, I would say no its not worth the large price gap, unless those things are important to you, which in my case they were, so I went with the Vertix 2.

Now Same price - Should I Vertix 1 or Apex Pro? HELP!

If you're a min/maxer then maybe the extra few grams on the apex pro is enough to sway you, but otherwise I believe the Vertix sounds like a great choice for your use scenario. On a side note, I like how the HR sensor on the Vertix doesn't stick out like the 245, seems more flush against my skin. The band is also really good quality and I feel secures much better without being too tight or restricting.

Thinking about taking the plunge, need some advice/experience moving from Garmin ecosystem

I think in my recommendation I would go with the Vertix if I were you because of the price drop on it. For the money I think that is currently the best value device that COROS offers.

Pace 2 vs Fenix 6 or Forerunner 55

I'm a Coros Vertix owner but let's be honest here. If you can get a Fenix 6 for about the same price it's a no brainer. Better build quality, maps, music, etc.

But in the end it depends on what you are looking for.

I mentioned in my Vertix 1 review that Coros is a special company. I mean, what other brand do you know of that updates an old product to match features of a new product?.

Any regrets transitioning from. Garmin to coros?

And I felt like the Garmin had more glitches. So when they announced the Vertix 2 with maps, I immediately sold the Fenix online and got the Coros Vertix 2. And I will say, while Coros doesn’t have quite as many features, it has a way smoother user experience. And the features it does have, it does better.
