So those of you who are very particular about their guitar finishes do you warn you that it is a matte finish?

Charvel pro mod dk24 would be my suggestion. Got one of these a few weeks ago and been loving the bridge (it has a floating tremolo, lets you bend up and down a pretty large range). Strat-style guitar, stays in tune like a dream even when using the tremolo aggressively. They go for $1000 or so new, and have HH, HSH, and HSS configurations (maybe they even have an SSS configuration?).

all have been extremely popular for that kind of music. I’d whole heartedly recommend checking out a Ibanez AZ or Charvel DK24 if you’re into that kind of vibe. Both have some great features, they’re really versatile guitars, and with how popular they’ve been I’d bet on a lot more new models come Januaryish time this year.

I played a Charvel DK24 with the roasted maple neck and it’s one of the greatest necks I’ve ever played. The edges were rolled for comfort, the fret ends were smooth and the neck itself was incredibly fast. It’s a little more traditional feeling and Strat-like compared to the Ibanez I own.

Wow. The ultimate Swiss Army knife for metal/prog/rock/whatever. Firstly- the neck. Wow. Smooth. Fast. Compound radius is divine. Pickups aren’t amazing but they’re hot and warm. The locking tuners and nut are welcome upgrades. And the satin shell pink is AMAZING
