The 5DS R is pretty much a 5D Mark III with a higher-resolution sensor. It has more speed and more sophisticated autofocus than a 6D, but those shouldn't impact your genres that much. The 5D Mark IV has further improved speed and autofocus, but not as much resolution as the 5DS R. Still higher resolution than the 6D, though.

If you're on a budget, the RP is fine. One big advantage of the Canon EOS R for me is that it uses the same Canon LP-E6 battery as many other Canon DSLRs, including the Canon 7D. It's a little thing, but it is convenient to be able to use the same batteries with all your cameras vs. having to remember to match the right battery with a camera every time.

The canon eos R is 1,999 with the same lens as the RP (RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM Lens). I want to use the camera mainly to take pictures of wildlife/landscape and low-flying aircraft at military training spots and occasionally play around with video but I do have a drone for that so it's the least of my priorities. I am definitely an amateur as this will be my first proper camera but I am looking into going to college for photography so I will be learning everything with this camera.

I'd go with the Canon EOS 5DS R, mainly because I like Canon's UI, and I already have several full-frame lenses from my days as a film photographer. Does this depend on budget, or not?
