Logitech G402

Broken

It doesn't turn on anymore, a component from the main circuit board failed.

Lasted longer than expected. Usually the main switch (left click) is the first thing to fail in other previous owned mice, not this time. It was bought at a very discounted price.

Logitech G27 Racing wheel

Still In Use

I thought I'd upgrade to the G923, but when I received the G923 I found absolutely no difference in the new wheel. It did not feel any better to use nor did it improve the game play beyond what I had with my G27. Buying the G923 was not an upgrade in my opinion it was just a new version of the same wheel (G27).

G27 has been the best wheel I have used, and continues to perform as it should and as expected, there was no need to "upgrade" as the new G923 offers absolutely nothing more than the G27 did or still does.

Logitech G304 Lightspeed

Repair Not Available

The USB receiver started malfunctioning, presumably because of firmware corruption or some hardware issue. It is unable to be detected as a working USB device in Windows. It malfunctions just as frequently in my Linux Mint install and other devices. Although extremely rare, there were times when the mouse would lose power/connection for a split second. No idea if this is related to the defective receiver though. I contacted Logitech and got a full refund. I used the money for a G502 HERO. Both are great in their own unique way. I just wish I could buy a knockoff replacement receiver so I can at least use it for casual use.

Latency is unnoticeable. Great tracking. Very light, even more with the AAA to AA adapter. Good customization software; changes carry over to over PCs thanks to onboard memory. Although a bit too small for my hands, it served me well when playing CSGO.

Logitech MX Master

Broken

The gesture button (button under your thumb) was the first thing to break after 3 years. This was followed by the microUSB port at 7 years, which ultimately killed the mouse.

I used this mouse every day, 4-12 hours a day for the past 7 years. I think this is fair usage out of this product given how good it is. Plus, newer models forego the two points of failure with a new design to the gesture button and USB-C instead of microusb. The ergonomics are superb. I used to get RSI, but not with this mouse. It was comfortable to use, and immensely increased my productivity. The scroll wheel can change from smooth to ratchet. Incredibly useful for flicking through long documents. Side-scroll wheels and the various buttons mean I can have super customised macro set-ups for different programs. The battery life was decent for how often I used it. Although much shorter than mice that run on AAAs, it was never too short to bother me. The ability to switch between devices on the fly was perfect for me. So, I used the same mice with my laptop and desktop and could switch between Bluetooth and dongle (it had both) with a press of a button. Durability. The side button breaking wasn't a bummer to me, otherwise the rest of the mouse was working perfectly up until the port died. Everything worked as it did brand new.

LogitechG G604

No Longer Used

I stopped using this mouse after the left click began to be inconsistant. Sometimes I would click and hold (shooting in a game for example) and then all of the sudden it would unregister my click (making me stop shooting) even though I never lifted my finger. I never contacted support about this issue but I'm sure if I did they would either fix it or send me a new one. Their customer support has been great in my experience. Another general negative is that the mouse is battery powered instead of rechargeable. This made charging turn arounds rather quick but I never have AA batteries on hand so it was more cumbersome in the long run.

I love the ergonomics since I have large hands as well as the numerous buttons on the side. I play a variety of games so having those buttons is nice. I do miss those. Also there were no RGB's on the mouse which I liked. It is also obviously wireless which was a big plus for me. Never had any latency issues.

Logitech G512 Carbon

Wear and Tear

1. Some of the LEDs on the keyboard stop working (lights up but one of the color is spoilt, so can't show the right color) after less than a year in. Currently at 3 years of usage, about 30-50% of the LEDs are not able to show the right color. Would recommend getting the version with non-customizable LEDs as the GHub LED profiling thing is pretty gimicky imo. 2. 2 of the number pad keys malfunctioning, will not respond to keypress sometimes. 3. Difficult to clean keyplate. You can remove the keycaps and unscrew all the screws holding the keyplate, but apparently there are additional screws holding in the keyplate from the back so you can't remove the keyplate to clean it properly. You have to wipe it with the switches still there in place which can be a pain.

Keyboard feels great to type on and is very sturdy. Generally all the important keys are still working.
