If you plan on being out for weeks at a time look for a tent that let's you sit upright comfortably. The Big Agnes Copper Spur UL3 is one of my all time favorites. It's a bit over your budget at full retail but the packed size, weight, and livability are excellent.

The tent is light and easy to pack for backpacking trips to give a bit more space for two people, or squeeze in 3 people.

I think the value is ok, though I think it's missing some durability improvements. Also at this price I expected the footprint to be included.
