BenQ TK850

The BenQ TK850 seems just workable in terms of mounting position, as does the Optoma UHD50X, but both are close to the point where I'll need to measure carefully before ordering. A final note is that I might upgrade to an ALR screen in the future, but if I do end up with a ceiling-mount projector I don't think ALR will be worth much since the windows and lights will be pretty much on axis with the projector.

The BenQ TK850 is right up your alley in my opinion. I have the gaming version and I'm really happy with it.

I have a BenQ TK850 that I am very happy with. The throw distance is roughly 13-14" away from the screen and it's about 11x6 screen. My start was to identify some projectors in my price range that could throw what I wanted and then I played with this and another calculator until I was certain it would manage what I was trying to do. Look for the throw distance and the diagonal size at that distance if they advertise that.

I feel it's important to note that one cannot fully disable motion smoothing on this device. Even with the setting changed to "off" there is some smoothing. Hello, I also had a Benq W1070. I bought now an Optoma UHD35 and I am extremely happy. I primarily game on it. For 120’’ it is more like 5m. If you want 120’’ at 4m I would go for Benq TK850
