Would recommend the TH685i from BenQ. Pretty good for movie night as you want cuz it got decent resolution with 8.3ms@120Hz low input lag. It also got Google-certified Android TV. Worth a shot! Cheers!

You have to plug in a stick or have it connected to some kind of device. Some projectors, like the Epson 2250 or Benq TH685i have Android TV built in but they're closer to the $800-$1000 range. I have the new Google Chromecast with Google TV and it has a amazon button the remote, works great (I have the Epson 2150). Short throw for your budget is a little rough.

Vote TH685i. It's a smart projector powered by an Android TV so you can easily screen through airplay and that saves you tons of time. It also includes amazon prime video and google play, more choices for you to choose from.

TH685i is probably a good option! It's a low input lag projector and although it is 1080p it is compatible with 4K. And 3500 lumens will fit your need I think. Btw it is the smart projector powered by android tv just like your TK850i.
