You know, this is a headphone that I think grows on you a little bit. It's something where at first I was like, nah, this is too bright.

But this is also an expensive headphone. Like, it is not cheap at all.

However... I don't find them comfortable. To get a good isolation/sound I need to use the biggest tips and they start hurting after an hour. Two nights ago I used them to listen to music in bed for two hours and the day after my ears felt really tired and a bit sore.

These headphones are the cans I always find myself reverting back to when I want to hear music as close to its recording studio debut. Superb analytical but musical instruments. After HD800&HD800S, ATH ADX5000 for my ears — HD820 more detail, more aggressive with bass and more comfortably. They play any genre of music perfectly. Omnivorous. First closed headphones that "say" me to forget about the open headphones forever.

The ADX5000 would be fine wine, but has aged many years and is just smooth as silk and makes you feel just right. Honestly without getting into every detail of the FR, these headphones do everything the 800 series does but in my personal opinion better. Not only that but they are light years more comfortable. Even without any kind of break in, I put them on and I didn't move them again for hours.

I can wear them all day and neither my head, where they rest, or specially my ears, will hurt. These are a wonderful pair of headphones on this regard.
