Anker Nebula Capsule II

# DIY Short Throw Projector Rig. Original Throw ratio for Anker Nebula Mars II projector is 1.2 and it needs to be placed too far in order to get a decent size images. Just to get 60" diagonal image projector needs to be places around 5'-6" distance which, is huge inconvenience for me as It would need to be placed next to me in my bed. The lack of horizontal auto key-stoning make it worse that even a 6" deviation results in skewed image.

But as I’ve said before: if you have to pile on a bunch of caveats and if-thens before you recommend a product, that’s not exactly a ringing endorsement. I have a Fire stick plugged into my Nebula Capsule II (only for Netflix; I use the projector's native Android TV otherwise) and the whole Amazon skin is very annoying (so many bullshit ads and recommendations of things that are not even available in my area).

Judged as an entertainment projector for home and portable use, the Nebula Capsule II has fine video quality, and the fact that it incorporates the Android TV operating system is a plus, given the OS's easy access to YouTube, Google Apps, and a range of content from Google Play.

At 800 ANSI lumens plugged in (600 ANSI lumens on battery), it's reasonably bright, and it's one of the few truly portable projectors with a built-in battery that still has 3D support. Input lag is perfectly acceptable at 35ms, and I've done a fair bit of gaming on it. The Android TV OS works great for streaming, although Netflix isn't supported, but you can easily plug in a cheap-o streaming stick like a Roku, Chromecast with Google TV, or Fire Stick.

Try the Anker Nebula from Amazon. Not exactly cheap, but pretty good specs and portability. You get until the end of Jan 2022 to return it if it’s no good.

I was between this one or the Nebula Capsule Max. At the end bought this one as thinking was the latest revision and it will be more innovated.
