Altra Olympus 4

The only problem I really see running on the road with these shoes again is probably the weight. I personally would much rather rock a lighter shoe on...

I rocked Altra Olympus through two versions and four pr last occurring four-five yrs ago. There were many positives including Altra's anatomical correct shape and very width generous toebox. My problem was finding after market high arch orthotics that fit their shape. If I had size 11 or 12 ee maybe eee I would have bought Sole Pro Thin or Sole Karnizes size 14 wide's and cut them to shape.

Altra Olympus. They don’t come in wide, but they fit my feet beautifully. I have wide feet like you and go between 2E and 4E depending on the brand. Give the Olympus a try. Oh yeah, they have Vibram outsoles too.

If you're into zero drop I really enjoy my Altra Olympus 4 and Timp 2. Max cushion in the 4 and just a little less with the 2. The Timps are on sale right now because everyone is trying to clear inventory for the 3.

I love my altra olympus 4 trail shoes, and am looking to get a pair of shoes for running on the sidewalk and working out in the gym.

Would their road shoes be fine in the gym? Not crossfit, just basic weights and calisthenics.

So when I went to get Trail shoes (and some speed work shoes), I ended up liking the feel of the Altra Olympus 4 (and Saucony Endorphin Speed 2), neither of which offer stability. So my rotation now has a mix of stability and neutral as well as zero drop and 8mm offset and so far I'm having no issues and they all feel good.
