Alienware x15

So now if I want QHD, I have to go with the x15, and guess how much pathetic tgp the x15 have: 110W!!!! The r5/6 is there low end model, and they have more tgp than the x15's pathetic excuse for a high end gaming laptop, and it also only have one usb a, no Ethernet jack, and no MINI Displayport, and if i try to go with the r5/6, it doesn't have a 3080 option, or a 17 inch.

The x15 mouse is e-waste. The scroll wheel started acting up after two months of use, and if you check evga’s forums or Amazon’s reviews you will find out that this is a very common issue. The fix is to flip the mouse upside down and scroll vigorously for a couple seconds, but this only alleviates the problem for like 15 minutes.

The old guard big beefy laptops with massive cooling and massive specs seem to be dying by the wayside, there is no more area 51m from alienware, no more g703 series from asus, and even msi stopped making the GT series, it seems like the thin and light categories have taken over the top end gaming market with the GE76 from msi, the x17/x15 from alienware and the asus strix scar/zephyrus. Maybe this is a concious move by nvidia to distance laptop performance and desktop performance again?

Jarrod recently did his review on the model literally just hours ago and so far, it's not worth it. Either get earlier R4 models of the laptops or X15 series recently announced. I know as a Dell fan that using Alienware and Dell products has it's perks, but some are better than others and so far the prev M15 R4 is better than the R5 since the Ryzen is underperforming compared to all other laptops.

The X17 beneath it is considerably thicker and heavier.Generally speaking, thinner laptops struggle with heat management.

Although I'm not a fan of the weight and aesthetics of these mice, I can absolutely appreciate their addition of a tilt wheel and 8000Hz polling (although we've yet to see how well it's been implemented). Curiously, the X15 is by far the most interesting to me based on initial impressions (although release is TBD).

This is a tough review for me, as the PC is great with everything so far, except for the massive problem of two keys on the keyboard not working right out the box. One of them being the enter key.
