Flashlight tech is great, you really don't have to spend a lot of money to get excellent performance. >I will use it outdoors for the most part, I wanna see a pretty far distance. A Sofirn SP35 or Wurkkos FC12 would be a great choice for that, they have throwy emitters but still plenty of spill for close to mid range illumination as well. There's also some great options for dedicated throwers if you don't need much light up close- Acebeam E10, Thrunite Catapult Mini, Convoy C8+ (or like, half of Convoy's catalog honestly), Lumintop GTA, and Sofirn IF22A are all solid options.

Not the greatest cross-compatibility, but this little sampler is giving me a better idea of what I like and don't like, so I don't mind too much. Next up? I've got my eye on quite a few things- a headlamp (Skilhunt H04 RC/H04 Mini RC), another penlight or two (Wurkkos WK01, Rovyvon Aurora A33), a jacket pocket-sized thrower (Acebeam E10, half of Convoy's lineup), a general purpose EDC handheld (Skilhunt M150/M200, the other half of Convoy's lineup), and various options from Sofirn and Wowtac, it looks like they put out a bunch of great bang-for-your-buck stuff. After that, maybe I'll jump into the seemingly endless pit of fun that is Noctigon/Emisar- the KR1 and D4V2 look pretty appealing for sure.
