3F UL Lanshan 1 Pro

Overall, I don't think the Lanshan 1 is the best tent, it's decent, but I would personally pick others over it. Really the most compelling reason to buy it is simply it's price, otherwise it's nothing special. The SMD Lunar Solo is a better version of the same design (which admittedly 3FUL probably just ripped off), Gossamer Gear's The One is a great featherlight design for more gentle conditions, the XMid 1p is just rock solid awesome all-around, the TT Protrail has an amazing and time-tested design, the Altaplex is the king of weight/comfort with a wallet-busting price, and the SMD Deschutes Plus is a budget option for featherlight weight (and I eventually bought one).

I purchased the Lanshan 1 Pro in green from the 3F UL website and it arrived within 2 weeks. Overall I am very please with the tent. The sleeping area is generous compared to my old tent. It is a tent we'd call 'bombproof' here. Pitching this type of tent (SMD Lunar, Zpacks Duplex, 3F UL Lanshan, GG The Two, Tarptent Stratospire, YMG Swiftline) on rocky-ish terrain isn't necessarily difficult but trekking pole supported tents will look a bit... sloppier on uneven terrain.

I bought a Lanshan 1 person Pro tent prior to this journey because 1) this was my first trip going UL and didn’t want to spend big money on a tent without knowing exact what I wanted. 2) I had never tried a trekking pole tent before and I got the Lanshan for <90 Euros with import tax (I live in Switzerland at present).

Get the lanshan 3f ul 3 season. Best priced and driest tent I've used, and I have used it quite an bit in the pnw. It's a clone duplex but silnylon

1.5KG is good if you are looking at a budget tent, but is still a bit heavy. If you are in the return policy though I would return this and get a 3F UL Gear LanShan 2p or 2P Pro (I like the 2p better since it is double walled).

Way too heavy for backpackong though. I woukd oick something lighter kike the Durston X-Mid 2p, 3F UL Gear LanShan 2p, Naturehike CloudUP 2p etc foe a budget backpacking option. Water resistance ia 1500mm on the fly and 3000mm on the floor. The silpoly materials are 68d which is a durable but a bit heavy.

i scored a bunch of dry bags made by 3F UL - the chinese company that makes the Lanshan UL tent - off Aliexpress. super cheap and very good quality

I have the Lanshan 1 Pro. Love this tent! It was my first ultralight tent. I'm currently using it to hike the PCT. No problems yet.

I recently used this 3F UL Lanshan 1P trekking pole tent for 5 nights in Yellowstone. It sells for $119 and I also bought the footprint for $35. The weight and build quality were great.
