Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Swiss Champ vs Leatherman Rebar

Victorinox (Swiss Army Knife) Pioneer -will last a lifetime and can be passed down. It’s all metal, very classy. Not American made, Swiss made.

It had some broken blades and I don't even know why I kept it. But I went ahead and filled out a warranty claim and sent it in and within a couple weeks I had a new Leatherman Rebar.

As that utters the tool useless if they break. You can work with it, but not long afterwords. My latest is the leatherman wave due to these problems. UPDATE: I dont use this anymore as the scales broke off and the knife bent a little

I imagine the leatherman will last me longer, but I used the Gerber for a couple years of light use around work and campsites, and I prefer it.

This leather case has a belt loop, rather than a clip. Before I ordered this pouch, I read a number of the many great reviews on Amazon. One of the reviewers, "Tool Collector," noted that the SwissChamp was a tight fit in this case, and that the case was made of dry stiff leather. "Tool Collector" suggested using Neatsfoot Oil to soften the leather of this case

So it's not a chisel grind, but obviously it is locking the way you can disengage the lock open our clothes as you press down on this piece right here...

I would recommend the purchase of the applicable leather sheath. Although the knife is not excessively heavy it is a little bulky and more suited to belt carry for EDC use.

The Leatherman tool is an excellent piece of USA made craftsmanship and a GREAT tool, they just sell it with a garbage sheath which is going to cause people to lose their tool or just not use the sheath at all which in turn will cause people to lose their tool. Great tool, crappy sheath. Merry Christmas everyone.

This multitool is not as bomb proof as the ST 300 but it is much lighter and fits into my hand better. Blades are sharp right out of the box (although honing never hurts) and the new style blade release is a vast improvement over the old one leatherman's had.

I mean come on Victorinox, you make basically everything out of quality constructed stainless steel but go cheap there? I would gladly have paid a little extra to get the magnifying glass holder made of stainless. Oh well, hope I don't break it. And (2:) The Price. I paid at the time about $73 which is a lot but to be honest, even though you get a lot of functions, it seems a bit steep

I bought this to replace a cheap off brand multitool. What a difference. I should never have bought that cheap garbage and just saved up the extra money for this. Lesson learned
