This is a very heavy duty, well constructed piece that you won't be sorry you spent the money on. Yes, it's costly, but this is truly a case of "you get what you pay for". Rise and lower is super smooth and you never have to worry about things jostling out of place when it is put in motion. And it's heavy duty!! Wish I had someone else to help me put it together, but I managed on my own

Very solid desk, sturdy materials, smooth lift. Took ~45 mins to assemble (only complication was no pre drilled pilot holes in the desk top). So far very happy with the purchase.
