TWSBI ECO Black vs Pelikan Souverän M600

Personally, I like the TWSBI eco for its large ink capacity and comfort. It has a good weight to it and there are beautiful colors! :)

Good ink capacity, smooth and wet writer, nice balance with the cap posted. Very reliable with no skipping and seems to write forever on a fill. Great service from the US distributor (Chartpak) including free nib swap for a different size within first thirty days. Nice understated appearance

It uses cartridges, but doesn’t come with a converter. The TWSBI Eco is a great pen that may be more than you are thinking of spending ($30) but is a really nice pen that could be a buy it once and done. It is only bottle fill, and that adds about $10 for ink, but the pen is great and hold a lot of ink. Depending on your use this can be a factor

4 - A nice looking acrylic doesn't mean you should be charging $180 for a pen without a clip. I know, it is small batch, handmade but still, would it kill you to put a nice clip on it? Birmingham Pens finally figured it out, let's hope it trickles down.

Now writing with this pen is where I have my problems. I compared it to the Lamy Safari and Metropolitan Pilot which are both cheaper than the TWSBI ECO and both write several orders of magnitude smoother than the TWSBI ECO. This pen is incredibly scratchy and this was directly comparing to the other 2 pens with 2 different inks. Carbon Ink Black and Waterman Serenity Blue

The band by the piston came all tarnished, too. :( I got an authorization to return it this week. This was a brand new pen… I was so excited to get the pen but was so disappointed. Also, for the price, the pen felt really cheap

I really like Lamy Safari and Al-Star because they force me to correct my grip. But for longer periods, I like my TWSBI Eco! I rotate the three because my grip is slightly different with each, and that seems to help with hand fatigue.

Smallest grip section ever! Omg. My hand cramped all the time. The length of the pen is comparable to the PGS, but it felt too short and too diminutive to grasp.

UPDATE March 2019: After over a year of using this pen, I'm my review from 4 to 5 stars. Ink flow is very smooth, and even the slight feedback this extra-fine nib had while writing/sketching is pretty much smoothed out as well. This plastic body is built like a tank; threw it around in all my bags along with keys and phones and everything and there's not a single scratch on it. The massive ink reservoir is also really, really handy for travel and on the go, as I hardly ever have to refill, and the clear body makes it incredibly easy to see when the ink is getting low

Lightweight, well built and smooth writing pen. Delivered fast and with minimal packaging. Very enjoyable writing implement!

I really really enjoy writing with this pen. I got a Pilot Metropolitan last year so when I initially picked this one up, I was a little put off by how light it felt in comparison. but after a few weeks of using it I'm super happy with the weight difference - this one really glides across the page (in a Clairefontaine notebook) and it's really nice to be able to switch between a lighter pen and a weightier one. it is also of course very cool & useful to see how much ink is left in the pen

It is lighter than I prefer and has a "plastic" feel. For the price, this is not what I expected. I have several heavier pens with metal in the body that were considerably cheaper. The service and communication were very good and the package arrived very promptly to regional Australia
