On the plus side, the top cover can be unzipped and washed separately, and Tempur does sell a mattress cover if you feel the need to have another cover. This is called a "soft" mattress - it feels a bit firm when you first lay down, but once you settle in it's perfect for me

I haven't slept this good in years

 The best I was able to do before this mattress was a Tuft & Needle memory foam mattress with a Sealy mattress topper on top. This Tempur-pedic is, so far, a bit better than that setup. I'm sort of at this in-between, "getting used to a new mattress" time but I still have to give the mattress four stars because I no longer wake up with sore knees and hips when laying on my side for long periods of time.  I will be back to update after a few more weeks with this mattress

 At first, I thought it was going to be too firm, but once you are in it for a bit, it starts to give more and is softer.  My back is usually uncomfortable in bed. Just left the Mattress Firm store, I'm going to get a Tempur Pedic proadapt medium,  out the door its going to be $3710.34,  mattress msrp is $3699 but there is a little discount for Presidents Day and I'm getting some 'free' accessories,  overall I'm very excited. Just wanted to share my experience with Zinus. I bought a Queen 10" memory foam in 2017. It felt great at first and nearly cured my back pain!(I've had back surgery and a somewhat debilitating ongoing pain at times). I was pumped as this was life-changing for me at the time

However 6-9 months later the support weakened and after rotating to the other side and sleeping in the middle I found I had worn out the support in all areas of the mattress. So after about 2 years the whole mattress felt more like a hammock.

I bought my Zinus green tea 12" mattress because I needed something cheap. Right out of the box, it was the most comfortable mattress I ever slept on. It supported my back so perfectly, I'd lie in bed and marvel at my magical $300 mattress. Well, one year later it started to sag, and now it's awful

So, many on this sub know about how Zinus mattresses are pretty ehhhh in terms of quality... especially in regards to the whole fiberglass thing.

But, I do love the way the Zinus Green Tea foam mattress feels.  I honestly haven't encountered a better one.  I tried a Purple mattress, but I hated how heavy it was to transport and it was too firm for my liking.

Anybody know a higher-quality mattress that feels a lot like the Zinus one?  Thanks.

 Heavy bed.  All in all - I got a great deal at onesixty for the 12 inch twin and hopefully this works for my daughter for a decade plus. Thank you Amazon for the awesome price.

Soft - make sure you want a really soft/squishy bed - Not firm at all.

 1, buy a cheap mattress and replace it often. 2, buy a more expensive mattress and it will last long enough to pay for itself (you hope).

I will say, however, that my mattress for the last 3+ years has been a $350 Zinus and it's just now getting to the point that I need to do something about it.

We get a lot of posts from people looking for the "best" mattress, and unfortunately these questions are really difficult to answer. Mattresses vary widely by comfort and quality, and what is good for one person isn't necessarily good for someone else.

However! There are a lot of brands I'd recommend that you AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These are brands that make mattresses of unknown materials, have a consistent history of terrible customer service, or are suspicious in other ways. This doesn't mean that their mattresses are always bad (or that you can't learn to sleep well on them), it just means that purchasing these is a much riskier proposition. So without further ado...

1) Nectar. I'd avoid them. We've gotten more complaints about Nectar (and the other brands associated with their parent company Resident Home) over the last three years than any other mattress company. I've seen material substitutions, poor quality, and reports of customer service ghosting customers after purchase. I don't trust them whatsoever.

2) Dreamcloud. Owned by the same company (Resident Home) as above. They use unknown materials, are constantly changing the construction of their mattresses, and have a terrible track record. Hard pass.

3) Puffy. Much like Dreamcloud, Puffy has a poor track record with customer service and material substitutions. There are no details on the foams they use, and I generally don't trust them.

4) Zinus/Lucid/Linenspa. These are generally the cheapest mattresses on the market and imported from overseas. These are made of unknown materials (and likely bottom of the barrel in terms of quality), and typically have fiberglass fire barriers. In fact, there are ongoing class-action lawsuits against Zinus for their use of fiberglass fire barriers. No idea how that will shake out, but I'd avoid them.

5) Molecule. I don't see this one mentioned a lot, but the last time I looked at their material specifications their base foam was only 1.5lb/pcf. As a general rule of thumb, do not buy a foam mattress with a base foam under 1.8lb/pcf unless it's intended for a guestroom or occasional use.

6) Serta/Simmons/Sealy/Stearns. I'd avoid these with the possible exception of some of their higher-end (and higher coil count) models. These generally use low quality foams, but can have some pretty excellent coil units. I would absolutely avoid the lower-end models though. These will quickly lose loft and support.

And those are the ones that come to mind right now. Any that I missed? What do you think?

This particular mattress is just really firm, so the plus side to that is it's gonna provide really good back support. So if you're looking for something like that, this mattress is gonna be a great option. But this was a quick look at the Zionist Cooling Copper Pocket Spring hybrid mattress

 This mattress also has a cover on the top made of a special fabric that helps trigger the evaporation of moisture which is further gonna increase the comfort and prevent you from getting too high.
