The Tuft + Needle original currently retails for $450 for a twin, although you can probably get it on discount for closer to $350. It's a 10" mattress that I believe uses 7" of base foam (I believe 1.8lb foam) + 3" of their proprietary conventional polyfoam which is meant to be a fast responding foam like latex foam (but cheaper and lighter than latex) -- and it's a thin stretchy polyester cover.

I HATED it! Ended up going back to using the old Tuft & Needle and now at 3 yrs old it’s sagging and I can’t sleep. The purple mattress destroyed my hip/neck & haven’t been able to get rid of my sciatica since.

i have had this for over a year now and it was very comfortable in the beginning, slept like a baby. but i have found it to be not so good over time. both my wife and i have been having more back and body pain, including hips. it has not maintained its firmness and does more harm than good now.
