If you're on a budget and want a large TV, you'll have to spend a bit more than if you were getting a smaller size. However, there are a few budget-friendly models available in a large size. Something like the TCL 85S455 is a decent overall TV that doesn't cost much and has a good smart platform. The Roku interface is user-friendly and easy to learn if you haven't used a Roku product yet. Its remote doesn't have a mic you can use for voice control, but you can download the Roku app on your phone if you want to take advantage of the voice assistant features.

In terms of picture quality, it has a fantastic native contrast ratio for deep blacks in dark rooms. Its black uniformity is also remarkable, but as expected for a budget-friendly TV, it doesn't have a local dimming feature to improve it. It doesn't get bright enough to fight a ton of glare, but it has decent reflection handling if you have a few lamps in the room.

 Its basically like having basic cable without a monthly fee. The tv will pay for itself in 12 months. About the sound, it is high end sound. You can use headphones and a sound bar but the sound is really good and immersive

 The sound quality is poor. You’d have to buy a sound bar to get greeter volume. Also commercials are so much louder than the program I’m watching. I also set up payments and they tried to take the payment 5 days earlier then they were supposed too!, and then the payment was unsuccessful because I didn’t have enough money in my acct to pay it

Review of tv

 A few times it wouldn’t turn on at all. I realized at that point that if the Roku function broke on this, that it would be totally worthless and I would be unable to turn it on to use. The remote control is the same type as you get for a freestanding Roku device that you hook up separately to a smart TV. It just does not work very well, and I have a feeling the TV is going to have a relatively short life before it just won’t work

Good value but…

 I had a ROKU device attached to the LG so the choice of a ROKU TV was a given. I do like the O.S. and user interface

 I set that to theater and a clear more dynamic sound arrived. I don’t know why TCL would set a default to a sub optional setting, but they did. Of course the product literature was of limited value, just had to experiment. I like it so far!

 There is a button on the front bottom that allows control of the device if you lose the remote. I bought a spare non OEM remote for $5.00, I would recommend it. The remote combined with the ROKU interface has a lot of options in spite of the remote only having a few buttons

 Vizio has started to release their TVs, and we've managed to finally buy the P Series

 Quantum X, Vizio's top of the line 4K LED TV.

 Last year, Vizio had some great TVs, and now we get to see what's new, what's different,

 The P Series Quantum X is a great TV, but we've discovered a few issues and bugs with

 These types of issues seem to be prevalent, but we'll discuss them as they become relevant

 We actually filmed this video two weeks ago, but there was a major update the day before

 we planned to publish it, so we decided to delay the video so we could properly retest

 some aspects of the TV and have it as up-to-date as possible.

 We'll start by looking at the design of the TV, and then move on to the picture quality.

 We'll look at the motion handling, input lag and sound, and then compare it to other

 competing models which are currently available.

 We bought the 75-inch model to test, but it is also available in 65-inch.

 We expect this smaller size of a very similar picture quality.

 Vizio is also expected to launch an 85-inch model, but as of this video, it has not yet

 We expect it to have more local dimming zones, but that overall it will perform similarly.

 The P Series Quantum X 2020 design is simple, but nice.

 It looks almost identical to the other Vizio models of this year.

 It's got a thin border on all four sides and a nice thin silver bezel that gives it a premium

 On the back side, it's all plastic, but it's still well put together.

 The stand is pretty simple and keeps the TV stable, but unfortunately doesn't have any

 sort of cable management on the feet or on the back.

 Looking at the inputs, on paper they look good.

 It has four HDMI 2.1 ports, but only two of them are labeled as high refresh rate ports,

 which should be great if you plan on getting a PS5 or Xbox Series X.

 However, as I'll mention later in the review, we had a lot of trouble getting VRR and the

 high refresh rate to work properly, so hopefully there's a firmware update in the future that

 Moving on, it also has one USB, a digital out, an analog RCA out, a TV tuner, an ethernet

 The TV supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.
