 Its basically like having basic cable without a monthly fee. The tv will pay for itself in 12 months. About the sound, it is high end sound. You can use headphones and a sound bar but the sound is really good and immersive

 The sound quality is poor. You’d have to buy a sound bar to get greeter volume. Also commercials are so much louder than the program I’m watching. Review of tv

 A few times it wouldn’t turn on at all. I realized at that point that if the Roku function broke on this, that it would be totally worthless and I would be unable to turn it on to use. The remote control is the same type as you get for a freestanding Roku device that you hook up separately to a smart TV. It just does not work very well, and I have a feeling the TV is going to have a relatively short life before it just won’t work

Good value but…

 I had a ROKU device attached to the LG so the choice of a ROKU TV was a given. I do like the O.S. and user interface

 I set that to theater and a clear more dynamic sound arrived. I don’t know why TCL would set a default to a sub optional setting, but they did. Of course the product literature was of limited value, just had to experiment. I like it so far!

 There is a button on the front bottom that allows control of the device if you lose the remote. I bought a spare non OEM remote for $5.00, I would recommend it. The remote combined with the ROKU interface has a lot of options in spite of the remote only having a few buttons

The best budget 58 inch TV is the Vizio V585-J01. It's an alright overall TV that's good enough if you're looking for a simple TV for watching your favorite shows and sports. The Vizio SmartCast system isn't as advanced as the smart platform on some other TVs, as you can't download any extra apps besides the pre-installed ones, but you can cast anything you want from your phone.

It's different from the Vizio M7 Series Quantum 2021 because it doesn't have any extra gaming features like VRR support. Still, you get low input lag and a decent response time, but there's some black smearing behind fast-moving dark objects.   Pros: Good picture quality Side viewing angles are decent Smart TV features and back plugins are plentiful and work great. I tested the latter extensively, the former I did not (I use an Apple TV device)  Cons: Sound loudness or quality could improve Remote is kind of basic  Overall 4.5/5. I will update this review if something changes

 I NEVER had a problem with Roku. Visio is crap! Contact me if you want details, but be prepared to have your ear chewed off if you deny the problems.

Great TV, but ROKU has MUCH better software

Pros: -absolutely Massive beyond expectations -worth every penny especially as an upgrade if you haven’t in 5+years -input lag non existent with V engine on -once you get the tv settings and color options dialed in it’s a visual spectacle, out of the box it’s kinda average though. -Dolby vision makes it comparable to Oled/Qled Cons: -not cutting edge enough to be future proof if your a gamer/enthusiast. Would be if it had 120hz mode -chromecast does not have my local news app so it’s useless I’m sticking with fire tv - VRR not usable because nothing uses it when 60hz is the standard anyway & thats the max it can do.  Overall I’m very happy, I bought this as a living room TV for the family and I can’t unsee how huge it is every time I go back to my 50” in the bedroom

  1) Allow Bluetooth headphone connection. This cannot be hard as the remote uses Bluetooth already. 2) Allow reprogram the shortcut buttons on the remote.  Some of the shortcut buttons are useless
