Suunto Core Alu vs Timex Ironman Run Trainer
Verdict
The Suunto Core Alu is a great watch for backpackers, photographers, and international-traveler types. It has an intuitive menu system, is comfortable to wear, and has accurate instruments. However, it is prone to scratches and damage if used outdoors, has a dim display even when backlit, and the battery life could be better.
Verdict
The Timex Ironman Run Trainer is a great GPS watch for runners and athletes alike. It has a highly customizable display, allowing users to view up to four lines of data at once with any one of 20 or so different metrics. The watch also comes with GPS capabilities and is compatible with TrainingPeaks, MapMyFitness, and several more sites. However, some users have reported that the GPS will occasionally turn itself on when inside, making a loud noise which can be disruptive.
