 It has the full flat grind from Spyderco. They do a really great job in having the taller blade here with that full flat grind. The geometry is really good. I actually have kind of dulled this thing down

 You know, and this one being the Sage five, the deployment type that they're really unlocking interfaces, the compression lock that they're they're really highlighting. But I just I can't imagine them not producing possibly 10,000 more of these. It is such a good knife. And again, when when metal complex comes out with something saying that this is the very best of something, it's going to sell out

 I'll go ahead and intercut some things that I cut with it. We're going to do the Spyderco Sage V now. The Sage V, it slices. The Sage V has made it through a lot

 I mean, you can just really, really tough to find any cons. In fact, if there's anything I'll say about the cons of this knife, it's that it's not available enough. I know there's supply chain issues going along going on around the world. And I'm hoping to goodness that this thing that they come out with more of these because I know the Sage series, sometimes they'll just do it as their homage series for various deployment types

 It's not like a thin veneer on a cheap piece of furniture... It's very substantial and solid and I love the way its beveled a bit onto the G10 so your hand doesn't have a sharp edge there

 So we can see here that size-wise, we're actually very similar. In terms of overall blade length, as well as sharp in blade length, we are very, very similar to the Delica. In terms of hand size, I'm sorry, handle size, that is, we can see here that they are actually quite similar as well in the pocket. They are very, very similar knives in a lot of ways

 They still sent it along. We do have to assume this is the best quality controlled one of these guys ever, and I'm doing my best to let this affect the nature and substance of my review. But nevertheless, there we go. Next thing, let's do a size comparison here

 It's also more carryable, being really, really super thin. This guy is really thin relative to the Sage, and it's also about the same blade length, and it's got a lower price, so that makes it pretty compelling. The original Para 3 is a very nice knife for maybe durability, for harder use, those kinds of things. Not that we're hard to use in any of this, but still, that's definitely an option, and it's only $10 more

 And so this guy is lighter. It's also more ergonomic to me. I like the Sage lineup a lot, but the Para 3 lightweight is just better in my hand than the Sage here. That's, of course, personal, but that's something that I feel quite strongly

So it is a 4 finger knife, now is this a little smaller than I typically carry, yeah I mean would I like to have a Sage V that's a little bit bigger, yeah but I think there's other options for that with Spyderco, oh I don't know it's called the Manix II and of course they are different because the Manix II is a different lock and all that stuff so it would still be cool if there was a larger one of these, but here's the thing, so you got 4 fingers back here, when you choke up into that grip now you got plenty of room left over, you got this great pinch grip that it turns into because you've got, I mean you could just use the knife like this if you wanted to, but it's super cool, you can come up here if you want, either like this or like this and it's really cool, by the way you got Sal's maker mark there, Sal from Spyderco, very very cool, just a great knife, it's nice and thin in the pocket, it's got a typical Spyderco look to it as far as sort of the ovalness of it, but it goes into the pocket like so and you know you can get your hand down in there no problem, nothing going to catch you or any issues like that, by the way I said that was a lanyard post, it's not, it's the lanyard tube, I don't know why I said that, I know what it is, it's a lanyard tube, and by the way you could always put lynch clips on these if you don't like the wire clip, but if you don't like the wire clip you're just wrong, no I'm just kidding, the reason I like the wire clips is ergonomically, they feel good in the hand and they're just a great utilitarian clip, which is what a clip is for in my opinion, it's just for use, but really really great, everything is knocked down and chamfered really well, feels good, guys this is something a lot of you know, I do not have a pair of three and I could never get the pair of three lightweight centered, this is centered and I think it has a lot to do with the construction due to having liners rather than no liners or very partial liners on the pair of three, this is just a better constructed knife in my opinion, and I would take this over the pair of three any day, I don't have a PM2 any longer, I will get one of those back in the collection at some point I miss it, I just needed to sell some stuff, but you know size wise this feels great, I mean it is, it's just a good knife, you got plenty of blade because they don't waste space and it is just great, it is a cutter guys, I have used this quite a bit since I've had it and it is a cutter, they are thin because you got this full flat grind here, so well done and you just get great control with the knife, I've cut some rope, I've cut some cardboard and paper, I haven't done a lot with it yet, but I guarantee I will be using this, this is great for work for me because I like to carry small lightweight stuff, a lot of times if I'm doing the TV work I do, it's just way, oh man, that's twice in a row, what in the world, okay, and it's just easier to carry and to hide away and not scare anybody if you bring it out if you know what I mean, so really cool, let's talk about lock up, no blade play, no lock rock, solid as a rock despite the fact that it's so lightweight, which we'll talk about that in a minute, am I still recording, it like froze for a second, so if you guys wonder what that was about, it was because my phone froze, lock up is great, you can see, I don't know how to judge it on this, but I call it like a 40 there, really, really nicely done, I really like this knife, now let's put it here and move the box, and let's do a comparison with the native five, which you guys know I dig, it's a little, well, yeah, a little bit bigger in the handle, a little bit bigger than the blade, than the native five, let's do, well no, I was right the first time, and you know, native five is a lock back, and then you got the the Mannix two, which is your ball bearing lock, very, very cool, and you see that, and then we'll just stick these in here, here's your rat two, it's roughly the same length as the rat two, and then your rat one, of course, is going to be a lot bigger than the sage five, as you can see there, so really cool knife, and again, you can see guys the Spydercos that I'm really trending towards, I love Spyderco, and this is what I'm trending towards right here, I want a native chief, I do eventually want a shaman, and a capara, and a smock, but right now, these are the ones that I'm really loving to use and carry, just phenomenal, and you got three different lock types here, how cool is that, so again, there you go, that is, oh wait, I didn't give specs, that's great, hold on, that would help to actually do the specs, and my computer went to sleep, so that is always great, all right, so these are Abbleu Creek knives as we speak, for $141.99, so $142, which is a great price on this, and you can get 10% off using my link down in the description, it is 7

Victorinox (Swiss Army Knife) Pioneer -will last a lifetime and can be passed down. It’s all metal, very classy. Not American made, Swiss made.

My husband turns 40 next month, and I’d like to get nice him a long-lasting (preferably American made) gift.  I’m not talking sports car or anything, but we do okay and it doesn’t have to be inexpensive.  I just want to get him something that will give several years of joy and use. Victorinox Swiss Army SwissChamp Pocket Knife, Black Victorinox Large Pocket Knife Clip Pouch, Leather Black 33210 Carrying Case (Pouch) for Knife - Brown   Update, 11/27/2020 Even though I use this knife every day, usually several times a day, it’s still just like new. Owning this model Swiss Army knife is like having a miniature toolbox on your belt.  This is the third Victorinox Swiss Army SwissChamp pocket knife that I've owned. I carried the last two SwissChamps in a black leather Victorinox Pocket Knife Clip Pouch (B000HJKT9Q)

 This leather case has a belt loop, rather than a clip. Before I ordered this pouch, I read a number of the many great reviews on Amazon. One of the reviewers, "Tool Collector," noted that the SwissChamp was a tight fit in this case, and that the case was made of dry stiff leather. "Tool Collector" suggested using Neatsfoot Oil to soften the leather of this case

 Wanting to avoid scratching the new knife's shinny new ABS scales, I purchased a bottle of Neatsfoot oil to have on hand for when the new case and knife arrived.  When I received my new SwissChamp, and the Swiss Army leather case, I was disappointed to see a number of large scratches on both of the ABS scales (grips). The SwissChamp, which arrived in a sealed Victorinox cardboard box, wasn't wrapped in a protective layer of tissue paper, or anything else. While I'm not sure how the scratches actually happened, I suspect it may have occurred during shipping

Beautifully Made, Compact, Multi-Tool

 I would recommend the purchase of the applicable leather sheath. Although the knife is not excessively heavy it is a little bulky and more suited to belt carry for EDC use.
