(We bought an extra VESA mountable stand to address this problem.) - Remote: the block of four "branded" buttons at the bottom of the remote are an issue. You cannot customize these, so if you don't have Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, or Sling, you have 4 useless buttons on your remote. Summary: I know there are a lot of cons there, but this TV is *such* a good deal -- excellent quality for under $1000 -- that these minor annoyances do not affect the recommendation

It takes a total of 18 (yes, EIGHTEEN) button presses on the remote to successfully make a connection, and get me back to the input I was watching. (I'm not even including the button press on my headphones). In comparison, my Blu-ray player takes exactly ONE press of a button, but I like to use my Xbox for a superior picture, as well as 4K support (Xbox lacks Bluetooth). This seems like a software fix needed on Sony's end

In fact, with the previous (deemed defective model) I had tried with another soundbar and had problem, so I have asked them to re-open case. Not happy..

I tried different modes and while it can get very loud it sounds quite muddled the moment you try and add in any amount of base. -Sound bars: For some reason people(including me) have been having trouble with their sound bars, cutting out, sync delay, or not being crontrolled properly. -Resolution: For gamers this is a big one and despite my best efforts and looking around all over for an answer you CAN'T CONTROL THE TV RESOLUTION FROM THE TV. I couldn't find a way to force it to do 1440 from the TV itself

As the title says, I just recently bought a new Sony X90J and as I am not happy with the motion performance while gaming. Panning and moving the camera around causes stutter and blurriness that was not as noticable on my old 2009 LG Tv. Maybe imperfections are now more visible because of the better resolution as this is my first 4K tV.

I was looking for a 55" TV, at a reasonable price not realizing that most of the decent TV's in this range were gone, and I was lucky to be looking at Amazon the day these TV's dropped and quickly purchased one on the 11th. OK, I received my TV today (8/13/2020) replacing an older TLC series 4. Nothing wrong with my old TV, with the exception that even through I have 1 gig internet, my download speeds would never go over 20 mb/s. I have found it really hard to get a straight answer whether this was good/bad, or something else and I would swear that initially when I first hooked the TV up download speed were much faster before dropping to 20 and staying there

I will keep the TV, but would go for cheaper model next time for my particular needs in that specific room. Unless you sit close to the screen, lots of the advantages of this screen quality get lost. Sound wise, it's actually usable after some equalizer adjustments, but here too I'm using HomePods that deliver fuller sound and don't sound like a TV speaker. (the TV allows connections to Amazon and Google wireless speakers as well)

Yes I know nothing is better than separate standalone speakers with subwoofer, but for built-in speakers the sound is exceptionally good, particularly the mid-tones and base. Good enough that I can hold out on purchasing an expensive standalone set.

Terrible warranty and policy standards (I'll give them an "F"). Also, their "smart" features and overall interface is slow, glitches (kicks me out of programs), randomly resets itself, and the refresh rate of streaming services/channels is abysmal ("D").

I was looking for a 120Hz 75" and had it narrowed down to the TCL 75r646 or the Sony X90J. When I looked at the LG and Samsung contenders, some had good color pop, but the contrast levels were not as good as the Sony or TCL.
